Beauchamp Hall - Danielle Steel

I fell in love with this setting, the feel of the story and the fact that it was very Downton Abbey-ish. I am a sucker for a main female character whose dreams come true. Poor Winnie had a horrible afternoon, her life completely changed in an afternoon so she binge watched her favorite show, Beauchamp Hall, after all watching this show was like comfort food to her. Then Winnie decides hey I have no real ties here and a bit of savings so why not go to England and see where my fave show is filmed. What follows is a bit like a fairy-tale , with some ups and downs of course, for Winnie. Winnie meets and interacts with many of her idols from the show. What I absolutely love about Danielle Steel’s books is that they can be a bit like a fairy-tale escape for me and this just took me away to a place were dreams come true for Winnie. The story is not all wishes coming true and happy endings, Winnie needs to make things happen and work through a few relationship issues but still this book was a great escape.

Past Perfect: A Novel - Danielle Steel

Past perfect by Steel_ Danielle
Cybil and Blake married almost 20 years and they have 3 kids-2 in high school and one in first grade, born and raised in NYC and love it there.
Blake gets an offer in San Fran and goes out to check it out-there is nothing that will keep him from going there and making tons of money-he has to persuade his wife and kids to go also...
Not only did he take the job but bought a huge house, very old for them to move into.
20,000 square feet 1902 house with storage that included all art and furniture. Cybil loves the place and the move will give her time to finish writing her book and still do design work if the offers come.
They all arrive with their high tech devices and it's quite the contrast to what the house is all about...
Eathquake occurs and things are moved to new locations prior to that.... Youngest keeps thinking there are hidden passages and ghosts...
Cybil had seen the prior residents as ghosts and tries to explain what she saw when she sees the pictures on the walls.
She reads the family historical book and finds out who they all are and calls in someone who specializes in ghosts and he tells her they feel comfortable there and she wants them gone!
Like how the families meld but i still think it's very weird. What Cybil finds in the book and acts on it is really weird! Servants think the whole family is crazy talking to themselves as they can't see the old family.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

The Award: A Novel - Danielle Steel

The award by Danielle Steel
Enjoy the author's works and know I will enjoy this one.
Starts out Giella and she's about to get the award. Chapters go back to when she was 16.
Rebecca came from Germany, Giella's best friend. The Jews are being forced from their homes.
One day she sees them take Rebecca's family and throw them into a truck and they disappeared. She tracks them down and visits and is able to talk to Rebecca and even gives her a coat with promises to come the next day.
She visits through Christmas and for many months later always bringing foods and clothes for the family.
Story tells what she had to do to survive and she ends up in the fashion industry.
Love hearing of the model world, travel, the art world and the places she visits.  Tragedies and there are happy times also from both sides of the ocean.
Really enjoyed this book and glad she went on with her life but went back to her past endeavors... Didn't like that the author didn't spend as much time devoted to all of her children...
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Property of a Noblewoman: A Novel - Danielle Steel Property of a noblewoman by Steel_ Danielle Story of a man who is works at an auction house box. Jane is also involved and when she hands over the death notice to her boss, she is handed the assignment to see it til it's done. There are a lot of details they must follow the rules. The contents of the box sound amazing, I can just see the sparkling gems. Other pieces of information lead them to different places to try to find a relative. 22 pieces of jewelry that might have to go up to auction if relatives don't show up. They need them appraised. Like the back story of their relationships and how they are turning in different directions. Phillips mother's name is also Pearson but they were not familiar with relatives of the past. Love that this story is more than just one story. Love how it's tangled all up together and where all the clues lead. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
