Title: TAKE IT OFF THE MENU

Author: Christina Hovland

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About TAKE IT OFF THE MENU:

Saying "I Do" has never been such a mess.

Marlee Medford just got dumped. Yes, things have become ho-hum in her longtime relationship, but she was two days away from walking down the aisle with the man she thought was her forever when he called it off. Convincing herself that they'd be able to reignite their spark once the wedding craziness settled? That was easy. Suddenly finding herself without a fiancé? Not so much. Marlee needs to regain control of her life, and a weekend away with her friends is a solid first step.

One of Denver's best up-and-coming chefs, perpetual bachelor Eli Howard, isn't into serious relationships--especially the kind that ends in marriage. As if to prove his point that they aren't worth the trouble, the wedding he was supposed to be catering just fell apart. Feeling oddly protective of the jilted bride--his little sister's best friend--his weekend plans now involve a trip to Sin City with her group of friends. But it looks like he had a bit too much fun in Vegas when he wakes up married...wedding night included.

Marlee's attempts at getting her life back together are failing miserably. Her ex-fiancé is taking the house, her chihuahua is intent on a love affair with Eli's sneakers, and she's now accidentally hitched to the guy who can't even say the word marriage. With their quickie annulment denied, Eli and Marlee just have to hang tight until the divorce goes through. It's just a little divorce amongst friends, what's the worst that could happen?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book #3, in the Mile High Matched series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Marlee had just gotten dumped and her wedding is off. Her ex is a chicken who puts all of it on her. Too much pressure. Good thing she has her friends. Even Eli, whom she has known forever. He is always there when she needs him.

Eli's sister is Marlee's best friend. He has always watched over them when they do their worst. He fixes the messes, and patches them up. This time he may need the one in need of aid.

Honestly, this started out what I would call a slow burn. Then when the pace picked up it nearly stampeded out of the book and over me. I loved the relationships, the friends, the pranks, the banter, the fun, the humor, and so much more. These characters would not be ignored and even when sleep beckoned I ignored it to finish what was a terrific story.

Take Me Now (The Knight Brothers #3.5) - Carly Phillips

This is book #5, in The Knight Brothers series.  This book should be read in order, though it could be on its own.  It makes more sense, and to avoid spoilers, you should read this sexy series in order.

Harper has lived a lonely existence.  She is now looking to make up for it and move on - but her thoughts and cravings always lead her back to Matt.  She has tried but, all she wants is him.

Matt hears Harper's car, and knows she will be needing him soon.  He plans a way to be with her while out of town and finally tell her how he feels.  It's time she knows she is his everything.

This short and sexy story has a HOT streak that nearly singes the book.  These two finally get their story, and it is worth every word.  I enjoyed it and am glad I made this author an automatic click to read.  I give this a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Drowning Deep Square
Water Monsters South of the Border - Denver Michaels

Loch Ness isn't the only body of water with monsters.  In this book, Michaels looks at water monster stories from Central and South America. He does so with a good dose of healthy disbelief.  So while he wants the stories to be true, she does not disregard rational reasons.

He does have discussions about the various legends, and at one points, goes off into wondering about if dinosaurs are still around.

Still it is a nice little collection of, at the very least, folklore with good and helpful footnotes.

Boudoir Shoot Ideas: Giddy Up Cowgirl!

“Do you want to do a boudoir shoot and are a country girl at heart? To know more about this, please read this article”.

Do you want to go for a sizzling boudoir shoot? Do you want to feel confident and gain back some self-love with this shoot? If yes, then that is a great idea! Are you thinking of giving your shoot a fun theme? You are at the right page because here, I am going to talk about this classic boudoir photography shoot. Keep reading so that your shoot is surely a hit!

Take a look.

Decide on a theme – Now when it comes to theme, firstly decide what look you are going for. Since this is a shoot to boost your confidence, don’t go for something that is not really you! Tell me something, do you like driving pickups than sport cars? Do you feel sassy and sensuous in just a flannel shirt? Do you simply love the countryside and visit them often to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city? If the answer to these questions is a yes, then this is the theme you should go for! Talking to your Denver Boudoir Photographer might help you understand this better.

Indoors or outdoors – Then you should decide if you want to go for this shoot outdoor, near some beautiful scenery or in a field or if you feel more comfortable in a studio. It totally depends on you but some suggest going for the indoor shoot because in that way, you will feel safe and secure. With the help of the right props and the right Dallas Boudoir Photographer, you can achieve the best results. You will start loving and admiring yourself more than ever before. Remember that you are the best, and make it your mantra so that there is no looking back.

Your Wardrobe– You need to feel comfortable in cowgirl or country themed attire for this shoot. Find some inspiration in Pinterest boards and photographer’s examples. You can ask your Houston Boudoir Photographer to give you some wardrobe ideas. You can also go for your daisy dukes and a cute flannel shirt! Trust me, it can really help the photographer capture your sultry and fun-loving side. The possibilities are endless, so keep thinking and keep researching and wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

If you have that cowgirl spirit and if you have always imagined yourself capturing your beauty, then this is it!  All the best to you and just rock it! Look fabulous and make sure you knock them out with your photos!

I hope that this was helpful for you all. To know more about Washington Boudoir Photographer and shoot ideas, please keep reading my articles and blogs.
