After five years of reporting in war-torn Syria, Troy Young is back in his hometown of San Diego. Readjusting to life back home is proving difficult. He keeps having panic attacks during live shots. But he s given one more chance as an entertainment reporter doing a He Said, She Said review segment. It s not what Troy had in mind especially when he discovers who his new partner is.

Movie-obsessed Sarah Martin loves her new gig at News 9...until the man who broke her heart enters the studio. Still, the desire between Sarah and Troy has not subsided even if he did pick his career over her. She doesn't want to trust him again but they ll need to overcome their off screen tension if they hope to handle the drama that s about to unfold...

There's a lot I really loved about At First Light, there's a lot that kept me from liking as much as I was wanting to however I still thought it was really great.

The idea was good but the added mystery spin on it all could have been done without because we (the reader) already had so much going on with the ptsd angle and the added backstory that I don't really think the extra adventure was really necessary.

It didn't really provide good flow with the organic feel of the over all story.

That aside I did like our h/h, I thought they were great together, I enjoyed the way they played off one another which kind of had An Ugly Truth kind of feel to it which is always fun.

Overall I pretty much enjoyed At First Light from beginning to end.

Until next time book lovers...

Free Audible books.
FREE: Crackanory Too Cracked for TV - exclusive to Audible - Crackanory,Toby Jones,Katherine Parkinson,John Robins,Robert Bathurst,Simon Bird,Audible Studios

I downloaded this as a free read from Audible, so I can't really complain that I didn't particularly enjoy it, but I did feel that these stories were inferior to those that I listened to in series 1 and 2 (also a free download from Audible).
Each of the five stories in Crackanory Too Cracked for TV was about 15 minutes long and each had a different narrator.
Most of the narrators were excellent, although one read too fast and rather swallowed her words.

The stories, 'Kill Phil', 'Mummy Business', 'The Character Assassin', 'The Egg That Knew Too Much' and 'The IT Man', all seemed to me to be trying too hard to be clever. Frequently a sentence would be over complicated with facetious asides that I found annoying. I guess it's a British humour thing and I've been out of the country for too long. Still, they were good to divert me from the stress of driving and as free audiobooks, they are a bargain.

Love is Love
Love is Love: Exclusive Digital Edition - Sarah Gaydos,Jamie S. Rich

This is a collection of poetry, stories, and graphic artwork rather than one story. While all of the works included are expressing reactions to the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, the overarching theme of the collection is love. Love in various forms.

The artwork in this collection is fantastic, and really made me stop to think about it.
