I'm perfectly capable of following and subscribing to what I want to hear about without goodreads basically harvesting and re-selling the email address I gave them in order to get an account there.
This actually finishes goodreads for me as soon as a team challenge finishes (don't want to leave teammates in the lurch). I've so much content and I to there I find useful I'll likely just change email address to one I don't use in case I want to refer back to something and login in every few months to keep account active -- but not using, posting, adding, etc.
