Great read; as melodramatic as the previous books in series with lots of game changers, new and broken alliances, actual and hinted romances (hurray for the lack of love triangles here), heroic acts and horrible failures, deaths of some and introduction of new characters ...just a great fantasy epic with twists around every corner.
Oh the melodrama!
But in this series, it works.
Just ignore any potential crush/love-interest bits and go with it because none of these characters really have any clue about that or even who the heroes or villains are.
Plus, at the risk of mild spoiler if new to this series, previous books have already gone into Little-Joe-from-Bonanza territory with some of the romance.
Well, this is starting on a surprising note.
