How can I like a book when I disliked all the characters ? This book was so boring for 3/4 filed with mundane life experiences, moments of reflection and meh. A lot of words about a bunch of people who I cared not one speck for. The last 1/4 finally started to get some life, but i was already in the "I could care less about any of these people" stage. I will admit there was a twisted twist that I never saw coming that was creative. Yeh, but I was not into it because who cares what happens to these crappy characters. This was a shelf surfing failure for me.
I listened on audio the narrator was really good.

I'll have to wait to find out what the heck is going on. My audio just stopped and there was no mare. The last section must not have loaded into my ipod. I'm going to just get the book from the library and speed finish it

Finally the tree is part of the story. I wondered what the title was all about. Oh yeh I'm going to gripe some more, more than half the book was all just babbling on about everyday life zzzzz....zzzzzzzz Something has now happened, it got going things getting uncovered, stories being revealed. FINALLY ! That for 65% could have been cut by 50% and I've would have gotten it just fine

Still meh for me. Doesn't loo like it's crime drama either. WTH is this book ? All the MC is doing is telling about his life, his feelings or lack of them. I am tired of hearing the life story ramblings of this selfish twerp. Gods when will something happen ? Uggg I get enough of this when I go out in public everyone wants to share their life dramas with me. I think I wear a "tell me all about it" sign on my back

This book ! I love the narrator, he has a sexy Irish Brogue, but this story is not what I expected. Okay what I hoped it would be based on the title. I thought it would be para-something. It's not (Sad face) it's crime drama maybe ? I don't know, he's beaten, gets damaged some mentally and physically, and I'm just along for the ride while he recovers ? So far that's it, I'm bored. I saw a review that says it picks up, I hope so. If it wasn't for this narrator dream voice I'd be hitting the delete button.
