Emma was twenty four and had been locked away in Paulson’s clinic an unwilling recipient of fertility experiments for three months. Then a rescue team had came with Xander who was thirty on it and freed her. Xander at the time had been supportive, and wonderful. But now when Emma tried to talk to Xander it was like talking to a wall. Xander had hugged her and held her hand refusing to let her be alone for the first twenty four hours of freedom. But now….. Even when Emma brought up the fact they were likely a DNA match. Then Xander goes missing and Loren - Emma’s best friend in the compound believes it’s Paulson who kidnapped Xander like he had previously Emma.

Excellent story I loved it. Xander had went through as a child and an adult both him and his mother had enough when he tried to hurt Emma . I wonder how Xander father was considered such a good soldier anyway. Xander changed after being kidnapped and brought back home and all for the better. Loved the drama and action in this story. Loved the characters in this story especially Xander and Emma and all they went through. I highly recommend.

Peter was twenty years old and was at his first rock concert. But with his enhanced hearing he wasn’t really enjoying himself. Peter had been bred to defend his country , he was an enhanced soldier. He had also begged to be let off campus so he could learn about his country.s culture first hand. Then two girls offered him some cannabis. He could not admit he was from a secret military base so he had a cover story that he was a son of farmers in rural Virginia and it would cover why he was so innocent in many things.He learned one of the girls was named Allison and he asked her to help him chill out and she agreed. Peter and Allison slept together and it was great especially since Peter was a twenty year old virgin. As the month progressed Peter snuck out to see Allison and he realized she was his match. One evening the doctors called Peter to them and he found they had kidnapped Allison. Peter was really angry whereas the doctors were excited he was the first soldier to be matched.

I really enjoyed this story other than I felt it was too rushed. But other than that it was great, Although hard to believe anyone would wait ten years to sleep with someone. But I did love the story and the characters especially Allison and Peter and all the twists and turns they went through. I recommend.

Jill was late getting home, her husband Jack of six years was home before her.Jill wasn’t sure how things would go . Jill had been at the library to set up an email address. Even though Jack taunted her and called her college girl she had never went to college she had the grades but married him right after high school. Now in a desperate attempt to be free of Jack, Jill used the computer at the library to sign up for a program that had to do with super soldiers and finding their match through DNA testing. . Jill prayed she would be chosen , only three weeks to wait then she could get away permanently from the abusive man she had married. Rowan was already part of the program and went to Shep asking to be put in for finding Rowan a match. Then Rowan was notified his match was already on campus a little ahead of time but she was there. Rowan was born with only one full arm. He had lived with that for thirty years but when Jill first met him he had seen the look in her eyes.

I loved this story it was great. It was awesome of Rowan to see how desperate Jill was and decide to fight for her to be able to stay there and not have to leave  the compound. I liked that Rowan got to Jack and let him know what it felt like to be powerless . There was a lot of pluses story. I also love how Jill grew in self confidence and toke on Jack on tv and started to heal from her time with him. Just was a good read all around, enhanced human soldiers, a disability, a program domestic violence, desperation, understanding, personal growth, true love, friendship and a lot more. I loved the characters especially Jill and Rowan and all the ups and downs they went through. Except of course didn’t like Jack or the hate groups. I highly recommend.

Glad I didn't read the reviews first as I might have gone in prejudging. It seems it was released with a previous version so this review is on the latest.
I really enjoyed it, it is different to a lot of the genetic enhanced type romances that I've read.
Adam and Loren meet and there is instant attraction due to her being his 'one', his soul mate destined for him. They struggle against the inevitable pull of attraction as Adam doesn't want to be forced into marriage and children to produce future soldiers.
There was plenty of action and heated moments, the characters were engaging and fun and the story line kept me intrigued.
This is my first read by this author and I look forward to seeing what else she has written.
