White Knight by Meghan March
White Knight (Dirty Mafia Duet #2) - Andi Arndt,Sebastian York,Meghan March

This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life in Books.

I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to Cannon and Drew's story. The previous book in this duet, Black Sheep, ended with a pretty big cliffhanger so I was really eager to get back to the story and find out what would happen. I am not a fan of cliffhangers in most cases but I can deal with them when there isn't too much of a wait for the next book in the series. I really did enjoy the overall story.

Drew and Cannon were great together. I liked watching them grow together over the course of the duet. They had a lot of chemistry together and I thought that their feelings for each other seemed very genuine. I think that both characters also grew individually during this story. They both learned a lot about themselves and what they valued and wanted out of their life.

This book had some pretty exciting scenes and I was worried about both Cannon and Drew more than once. I enjoyed getting to see a bit more of the Casso crime family and its history. There was a bit of a mystery in the story towards the end that really had me guessing. There was at least one surprise in the book that I didn't see coming at all.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York both did a fantastic job with the narration. I thought that they were both able to bring the story to life. Their voices work together really well with this kind of story and I love finding books that they both narrate. I thought that they added a lot of excitement and emotion to the story. I had no problems listening for hours at a time and enjoyed the story a bit more because of their narration.

I would recommend this series to others. This book was a great combination of excitement and romance with wonderful characters that I wanted to learn more about. I definitely plan to read more of Meghan March's work in the future.

I received a copy of this audiobook from Audible Originals.

Initial Thoughts
I thought that this was a great end to the story. There were some twists that I wouldn't have predicted and I really enjoyed the characters. The narration was wonderfully done.

Audiobook Review: White Knight (Dirty Mafia Duet #2) by Meghan March (Author), Andi Arndt (Narrator), Sebastian York (Narrator)

Cannon doesn't know how to be a hero, but he'll try, for love. When I first met him in Black Sheep it was hard to wrap my head around what my heart was feeling. Cannon is caught up in a world as black as his soul. The renegade with the battered heart is living on borrowed time. Drew is the catalyst to his redemption. He's a devil with an avenging angel at his back and he'll do whatever it takes to become the man she deserves. Heaven takes a detour and sets emotions blazing in this blazing romance.

Black Sheep by Meghan March
Black Sheep (Dirty Mafia Duet #1) - Andi Arndt,Sebastian York,Meghan March

I thought that this was a really enjoyable listen. I have enjoyed Meghan March's books in the past so I was pretty confident that this would be a good fit for me especially when I realized that Andi Arndt and Sebastian York were handling the narration. This book is the first book in a duet and it does end in a bit of a cliffhanger but that isn't a big problem since the second book is due out soon.

The book opens with Drew trying to get a job at the club that Cannon runs. This isn't a normal club. It is a club connected to the mob. Cannon is the illegitimate son of the famous mob boss, Dominic Casso. Cannon isn't the only one with something to hide. Drew has an agenda when she tries for a job at the club. She is looking for some dirt to expose the family that has caused her pain.

I liked Drew and Cannon together. They were both hiding things but I thought that they seemed to be real with each other when it mattered the most. They were both put into their positions by events that were outside of their control and had great chemistry throughout the story. I loved the way that Cannon felt protective of Drew almost from the start. I thought that they made a really great pair and fit together in almost every way.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a fabulous job with this audiobook. I think that their voices really compliment each other with this kind of story. I thought that they both were able to capture the personality of the characters and added a lot of emotion to the story. I am pretty sure that I liked this book just a bit more because of the incredible narration.

I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a well-done romance with just the right mix of chemistry, steamy scenes, and suspense. I can't wait to see how Drew and Cannon's story ends!

I received a copy of this audiobook from Audible Studios.

Initial Thoughts
This was enjoyable. I liked the characters well enough and thought that they had some great chemistry. The book ended right when it was getting really exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Black Sheep (Dirty Mafia Duet #1) - Andi Arndt,Sebastian York,Meghan March

From beginning to end, walking away was never an option. Love him, hate him, it's so hard to forget him. Cannon is a renegade. Caught between duty to family and the emotions filling his heart. This black sheep lives life on his own terms. He may have a black soul, but does he have the strength to follow his heart? March never ceases to be bold. Her characters are not always likeable, but what they lack in charm, they make up for in heart. Arndt and York bring heartache to life with an edginess that is both compelling and breathtaking. Cannon and Drew are destined to make Romeo and Juliet look like child's play.
