My Little Pony: Friends Forever Volume 4 (My Little Pony Friends Forever Tp) - Bobby Curnow,Jeremy Whitley

Overall, I liked the stories in this book better than some of the previous volumes. As with the other books in the series, I preferred the artwork that was more consistent with the show. Brenda Hickey and Jenn Blake had the best artwork in my opinion (sorry, Agnes Garbowska).

I also think Jeremy Whitley and Bobby Curnow did a good job capturing the characters in the books. I could definitely see any of these stories happening in the show and the characters' reactions felt true to form. Some of the other stories in previous books seemed out of character, but I think all of these stick pretty closely to the show.

Good graphic novel for fans of My Little Pony.

Same set-up as the first two book. Four stories that feature one (or two) of the Mane Six (Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie) as well as a side character (Iron Will, Spitfire). This one also included a story about Granny Smith and the Flim Flam Brothers, which I enjoyed. As much as I love the Mane Six, sometimes it's nice to see what the other characters are up to.

As with the other books, I prefer the art styles that are similar to the show (Tony Fleecs) and was really thrown off by the artists that used there own style for the characters (Jay Fosgitt's hardly even look like the characters and it drove me nuts).

Good stories, I liked the variety. Overall, another nice collection of stories for Pony fans.

This book is pretty similar in style to the first volume of the series. It consists of four friendship stories featuring various characters in the My Little Pony universe. In this one, each story includes one (or more) of the Mane Six (Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, and Rarity) as well as a side character (Zecora, Trixie, and Princess Luna).

I feel pretty much the same about this volume as I did about the first. Overall, it's good. I prefer the comics that look more like the show (Tony Fleecs) rather than those that have their own style (Agnes Garbowska). There are a few weird things that seem inconsistent with the show (Rarity and Applejack really just stole a gyro-flyer!?). But the stories were all entertaining.

Good for MLP fans that enjoy graphic novels.

Overall, this is a cute graphic novel based on the characters in the My Little Pony show. There are four stories, each with a different writer and illustrator. For the most part, I liked it. There were a few times the comics seemed to break from the show (I can't imagine Applejack being okay with pretending to be somebody else during a competition- even if it were an accident, her element is literally honesty). I liked some of the artwork more than others. Carla Speed McNeil's artwork is closest to that of the show while Amy Mebberson's is very different. I preferred the art that represented the ponies seen in the show.

All of the stories are entertaining and fun. Great for fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Review: My Little Pony: Friends Forever Volume 3
My Little Pony: Friends Forever Volume 3 - Christina Rice,Tony Fleecs

The tales of friendship and fun continue!

Granny visits an apple convention and is dismayed to see the Flim Flam brothers are up to their old tricks.

Fluttershy gets an unexpected visit from the most aggressive guy around, Iron Will!

Rainbow Dash is overjoyed when Wonderbolt Spitfire invites her to a special training camp.

And, Pinkie Pie meets her match… in the form of delicious, irresistible snacks called PheNOMNOMenons!

This collection is a very mixed bag. I enjoyed Pinkie Pies story most, less because of the story itself (which is cute but nothing overly special) but because of all the visual jokes that were in it. They really had me giggling madly because they were so silly but also so great. Fluttershy's story was fun as well but then Fluttershy is my favourite and I love everything she's in.

On the other hand I don't care that much about Rainbow Dash or Granny Smith so as the supporting characters in both stories were also some I feel mostly indifferent about (the Flim Flam brothers and Spitfire) I really wasn't overwhelmed by those.

Still a fun read overall.
