More than just a romamce
On Thin Ice: Gay Sports First Time Roman... On Thin Ice: Gay Sports First Time Romance - Van Cole

I enjoyed the original version of this story with Matt and Chris' easy camaraderie and banter, so I was excited to see this expanded version of the tale. The whole thing came together perfectly and the story flow is even better with the expansion. This romance is about so much more than just two people falling in love. It's about standing up for who you are, regardless of what other's may think, and not letting yourself be a victim to peer pressure and prejudice. I've been reading this author's work for a while now and it's been a pleasure to watch his books evolve and grow. I'll be interested to see what comes next.

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding --Love the look and feel of this lyric video…and I also, feel like I could totally hear Hannah singing this to Garrett♫

⇝OVERALL RATING⇜

5/5 STARS

A+

My Thoughts

The feels are what make this story so good, from the crazy, funny one-liners to the all consuming chemistry between Garrett and Hannah, it's just fantastic.  Everything felt real and believable.  And, most of all…not cheesy.   Seriously, the New Adult genre is just feeling overdone and boring to me lately, unless an Author can pull off the right kind of feels.  Now, if I could only get them to quit referring to the word sex as a body part.  I'd be completely happy.

My tiny little deduction on the Ending is, because I thought the final conflict would play out differently than it did, and I guess I was a little disappointed.  Really no biggie, because the chemistry of the characters more than made up for it.

Toni FGMAMTC's Reviews > Good Boy
Good Boy (WAGs #1) - Elle Kennedy,Sarina Bowen

If you read HIM and US (amazing must reads), you'll be happy to learn that Jamie and Wesley are in this book. They aren't the leads, but it's a treat to see more of them. Jess is Jamie's sister. Blake is Wesley's teammate, and he lives in the same building as Jamie and Wesley. Jess and Blake had a hookup in US, but they weren't actually together.

Jess feels like she isn't as put together as the rest of the Canning clan. She's trying to figure out her life. Blake is adorable. At first glance, he seems shallow and only surface deep, but that's because he likes to keep things lite. He prefers to make people happy. He's kind and funny, beautiful inside and out. Jess and Blake are so easy to love. They're decent people with big hearts and relatable actions. Both are great friend material, and they definitely fit as a couple.

I really enjoyed this story. It left me with a good feeling. It's a mix of RomCom, sweet, sexy and sporty. It's worth checking out for sure.

Nice to see this family again!
Swing - Adriana Locke

*4.5 STARS*!

Great follow up to the Landry Family Series. I really like this family.

This time around we get Lincoln Landry, youngest boy, hot as sin baseball player. He sees the woman of his dreams when he's on an elevator and his life is never gonna be the same.

I loved the fact that as hot for him as Ryan Danielle was, she wouldn't give Lincoln the time of day at first. It really put him off his game. LOL

and what the heck is about those Landry books and food items. First it was Barrett and the grapes (I'll have to revisit that one) and now it's Lincoln and the ice. Those boys certainly are inventive in the bedroom.

Huxley made his appearance in this book too. I loved the heart-to-heart he and lincoln had about what Hux's mom and Barrett do when they are in their bedroom. LOL

But what made the story for me was how all in Lincoln was. Once he knew that was it. I love that. it's the sexiest thing ever when a man is like that. I'm so glad that he was willing to fight for what he wanted.

I can't wait to start the next book in the series. I'm loving these Landrys.

Audio on this one is excellent. The first one too. I love these two narrators. They are both new to me but they do an awesome job.

My Thoughts

Overall, my biggest issue was the Irish accent of the male narrator, I really don't like the way he drops the H sound, and it just comes out sounding like baby talk to me.  It just blows my whole image of Ronan, a guy who talks like a baby cannot be thought of as hot…

...this might be one of those books that I would have enjoyed more if I had read it instead of listened.  Trying not to let that influence my rating too much, I will say that this story is refreshingly funny, and well written.  Also, I found the heroines growth to be most inspiring.

Ratings Breakdown

Will I continue this series?  Idk??? I read a excerpt of this book on Goodreads and I could totally continue with this series as long as I read them in book format.
