Restless Rake by Scarlett Scott
Restless Rake (Heart's Temptation Book 5) - Scarlett Scott

Restless Rake by Scarlett Scott is book Five in the "Heart's Temptation" series.  This is the story of Clara Whitney and Julian the Earl of Ravenscroft.  I have read the previous book but this is easily a standalone book.
Clara is an American in London living with her father and Step Mother but she wishes to return home to Virginia.  Clara comes up with a scene to offer Julian one hundred thousand pounds to marry her but after they marry she leaves for Virginia.
Julian is tired of being 'bought' by women and whoring himself to keep himself and his family from being taking to the poor house. Julian has been selling himself since he was a young man and turns down Clara's offer quickly.  But when her father, Jesse Whitney comes busting into his home to take his daughter and put a end to whatever she is up to....Julian changes his mind.  For Jesse Whitney is a very wealthy man and Julian knows there is more to be gain by this marriage that what Clara had offered.  But what started out a a solid business or marriage of convenience quickly starts turning into something more.  There was an instant attraction between the two but the more that they got to know the other...the more their feelings grew...could either of them walkaway now?
I really enjoyed this book and seeing them come to their happy ending.

Fun Read!
Temptation Texas Style! - Annette Broadrick

Temptation Texas Style! by Annette Broadrick is a western romance.  Ms. Broadrick has given us a well-written book.  The characters are awesome, you can't help but love them.  Tony and Christina's story is packed with drama, spice and just the right amount of humor.  I enjoyed reading Temptation Texas Style! and look forward to my next book by Annette Broadrick.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I read a print copy of this book.

About time
True - Ella Frank

This is book #6, in the Temptation series.  This book can be read as a standalone.  With this incredible series - to avoid spoilers, and have complete understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

This is the last book of the series.  With so much at stake, and happening in this fast paced story - I was not sure how it would turn out.  It was so much more than I expected!  The banter was kicked up a notch, the heat was on high, and the characters made me wish I was there!

Tate & Logan finish their story the only way that makes sense.  You know I never give out spoilers - sorry!  I was supremely thankful I got to read this emotional, yet gripping series.  I feel like these characters are now members of my family.  Thank you so much to the author - who promised we have not seen the last of these great men.  I give this book a 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP!

Surprises around every corner, as well as the end
Temptation Island - Rachel Woods

This was an interesting read. Keeping up with the twists was not the problem, interpreting them was for me. I did not see the end coming. Quinn is confused by strong enough to carry on no matter what, and I loved that. Icarus was an enigma as to who he really was. Together, they made a good team with lots of sparks despite the danger. This kept me entertained, and I enjoyed every minute.

I received a copy of this story from Candid Book Reviews, and this is my unsolicited review.

Temptation Returns (Recalled to Love #1) by Lisa Carlisle
Temptation Returns - Lisa Carlisle
Temptation Returns is the first novella in the Recalled to Love series, and we meet Antonio and Lina. This couple were together, but when Antonio joined the military he pushed Lina away as he didn't think it was right to keep her waiting for him. Lina eventually got over him, and found someone new. Unfortunately, Brad was 'safe' and there were no real sparks or passion between them. A couple of weeks before the wedding, and Antonio is back in town and sees Lina in a nightclub. The passion between them is still there, but Lina is now engaged, so things have changed between them.

I have to say that, for me, it was Antonio who made this book. I can understand Lina being conflicted when Antonio returned, but I can't agree with her actions following that first kiss. Yes, Brad turned out to be a first class jerk, but still... As for the story as a whole, it was fast-paced, angsty, and thoroughly enjoyable in many ways. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, and the scenes flowed from one to the next. A quick coffee break book, recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *
