Favourite Book of Favourite Series

 Sookie Stackhouse

Dead To the World - this is the book where Eric loses his memory. He's so - different. I loved this book of the series. I found it fascinating to see Eric so vulnerable and see Sookie taking care of him and not letting him be taken advantage of (and totally falling for him in spite of herself).

The Hollows

Dead Witch Walking - I haven't actually read all the books in this series, I'm up to number 5, but so far, the first one is my favourite. It was one of the first urban fantasy series I read and it'll always have a special place with me for that, but it introduced a fabulous world and a totally awesome heroine and brilliant addictive writing and plots.

Throne of Glass

There are only two books out in this series so far but the second book, Crown of Midnight was awesome. I read an ARC from netgalley earlier in the year and loved it to pieces. Brilliant fantasy landscape, shocking twists and kick ass characters and a huge WTF twist at the end that left me open mouthed and screaming because I have to wait till next year for the next one!!

Nightkeepers

Another series I love and have only read 3 books, and I've loved every one. This series is about the Mayan doomsday prophecies of 2012 and a group of warriors who are brought together to prevent it from happening. The series follows the warriors coming together and learning how to hone their skills. There;s also mated pairs of warriors and the romance in each book follows the couple who discover their mated pairs. Steeped in Mayan history and magic its fascinating. The romance is sizzling and each book has made me cry at the end when they finally get together.

Guildhunter

Yet another series I love after only the first two books. The world building and the two main characters draw me into this series. One of the first angel/vampire/hunter series I read and was addicted right away.

Dawnkeepers (Final Prophecy, Book 2)
Dawnkeepers - Jessica Andersen Nate Blackhawk is trying very hard to resist the demands of his birthline. He is trying to resist the feelings he has towards Alexis Gray. However they appear to be thrown together all the time. Yeah, yeah, it goes the way you'd expect. I did want to like this story, however it just didn't work for me. I did like how the magic system used Aztec mythology rather than the regular western European systems. The couple didn't really come across as anything other than a couple brought together by fate not by very much else. However it just didn't gel well for me and left me feeling that if I found copies I'd read them but I wouldn't go out of my way to hunt them down.
