The water is usually not

It takes the average cow three to five minutes to give her milk. This method of milk cooling was extremely popular before the arrival of electricity and refrigeration. For this reason, many farmers will cull slow milking cows.[citation needed] Many dairy farms also grow their own feed, typically including corn, alfalfa, and hay. The water is usually not just dumped back into the ground again, but reused for washing and other purposes. This is fed directly to the cows, or is stored as silage for use during the winter season. The naturally cold underground water would be continuously pumped into a tub or other containers of milk set in the tub to cool after milking.

U Shape Shower Curtain Rod Keeping milk cool helps preserve it. A pulsating flow of ambient air and vacuum is applied to the inflation s air chamber during the milking process. This problem was resolved through the development of the ice bank.Dairy farming is a class of agricultural, or an animal husbandry, enterprise, for long term production of milk, usually from dairy cows but also from goats and sheep, which may be either processed on site or transported to a dairy factory for processing and eventual retail sale. When windmills and well pumps were invented, one of its first uses on the farm besides providing water for animals was for cooling milk, to extend the storage life before being transported to the town market. When the milking operation starts only the milk agitator and the water circulation pump blowing water across the ice and the steel walls of the tank are needed to rapidly reduce the incoming milk to a temperature below 40 degrees. Slow milking cows may take up to fifteen minutes to let down all their milk.

The Hook Up
The Hook Up (Game On Book 1) - Kristen Callihan

Drew is the star football player and so is super popular. He can have any woman he wants. Then he meets Anna. Anna who isn't impressed. And it appears she does not like him. Or does she?
I admit to being super confused (at least at first) at what Drew saw in Anna. He is interested, but Anna shots him down, multiple times. She eventually gives in and they have lots of sex. But, no kissing on the lips. Because that would be too personal. (Not making that up).
Then Feelings leading to Misunderstandings (by not talking). But then, Something Happens to Drew. This leads to Anna owning up to her issues and they talk. Then, it's Drew's turn to push Anna away. Anna's growth through the book shows in this moment. She stood up her herself, Drew, and they as couple. It was so nice.
But, really did I need all that drama? If some of it have been cut out (it really wasn't necessary) this would have been a better book. Gray's story is next.
I read this for Romance-opoly New View sun track
This also works for Ripped Bodice Bingo Summer 2020 for the "smells uniquely like themselves" square.
(Anna's describing Drew: "...because he smells fantastic—like warm pears and crisp air." and "...because I can smell Drew’s clean, tangy scent now."
Drew describing Anna: "...who smells of exotic spices, warm skin, and home."

Reading progress update: I've read 365 out of 365 pages.
Waverley - Andrew Hook,Walter Scott

I fear this may have been the wrong week to read about the exploits of self-serving Edward Waverley and his flip-flopping political alliances.

Also, this has been a tremendous slog...

There are interesting bits, tho, and I hope to mention them in a more coherent review later.

Right now, I need a very different book.

The plot has thickened!

Edward is in a pickle now having overstretched his Army leave and consorted with Jacobites, and we also have a romance going on.

It's still not going to be a favourite book.
