Once again, Philippa Gregory smashes conventional historical perspectives of Catherine of Aragon amd Anne Boleyn. As a firm Catherine person, I became even more so when Philippa highlighted the whole truth about Anne Boleyn and her treatment of Princess Mary (later Queen Mary I). Any book that seeks to trump and upset conventionally-held historiography is near and dear to my heart.

Also, Philippa being unbiased also helped me finally humanize Anne Boleyn.

This is one of my very favorite books, ever.
