Wow, I forgot basically everything that happens in this series, but the rereading was great because it was almost like reading it for the first time.
I enjoyed this one so much. It's probably my favorite this time around. I love the Hunters, and the story really starts ramping up. I love all these characters so much parts made me cry.
Also, Mr D is definitely Paul Giamatti’s character from Sideways, yes? I mean, he's excited about Pinot Noir making a comeback and going to stuff someone in a bottle of Merlot…
And thank you Rick Riordan for saying that freeze dried astronaut food is gross. Everyone I know says they loved the stuff as a kid, but it’s actually disgusting.
Onto my favorite from last time!
After re-reading the first two books in the series, I’m finally getting to the books I missed. New material! Yay! I don’t feel the need to review this one in depth, so I’ll just say a few things:
*deep cleansing breath*
Anywho, on to book four.
This was was just ok for me. It might have been that I just wasn't feelin' it for a Percy Jackson adventure right now. I didn't really feel connected to the story. I'm not saying that nothing happened or that the writing style drastically changed. A lot, actually, happened. And I still enjoy Percy as a character.
I think I just wasn't dedicated to this one from the start. My attention faded in and out. I will keep going with the series, but I liked the Sea Monsters better. We'll .... sea....
