Don't Call Them Trailer Trash by John Brunkowski & Michael Closen
Don't Call Them Trailer Trash: The Illustrated Mobile Home Story - John Brunkowski, Michael Closen

I have lived in several trailer's during my life. Some have been better then houses and some not so much.  I have seen some trailers that look like tin cans and others that look like a house. This book is like an exhibit of the history of the Mobile Home. All through the book it pictures of vintage advertising for Mobile homes. Some are post cards others are pages from magazines, and more. The book was really interesting. The pictures were great.  There are short captions that go with each picture. At the beginning of each chapter there is a page telling you about that point in history of the mobile home, or explaining the difference between a trailer park and trailer court.  I actually had fun looking through this book and seeing all the vintage advertising and learning things I never thought about the Mobile Home.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

Today’s stop is for Ednah Walters’s Runes. We will have info about the books and author, and a great excerpt from the book, plus a great giveaway. Make sure to check everything out and enter the giveaway. Happy Reading :)

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.
Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.
Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

Taking a deep breath, I opened my door and slowly walked down our driveway. My heart pounded hard as I started down the sidewalk and headed for Torin’s front door. I paused before hopping onto the porch. Once again, I gave myself a pep talk before pressing the doorbell.

No response. Okay, leave. You tried.

But I couldn’t leave now that I’d made it this far. I pressed the doorbell again and angled my head to listen for movement from inside. Nothing. The garage door was open and I’d seen his Harley, so I knew he was home. Maybe he was asleep. Relieved, I turned to leave.

He yanked the door open. “Can’t stay away from me, can you, Freckles?”

“Don’t flatter…” My voice trailed off when I found myself staring at his bare chest. Not that I was complaining, but did he have something against shirts? “Yourself,” I finished weakly.

He chuckled, drawing my attention upwards, past the water droplets on his chest to the wet hair caressing his shoulders. At least he had a legitimate reason for walking around shirtless this time. Still, you’d think he’d put on a shirt before answering his door.

“Can we talk?” I said.

His brow shot up. “About?”

“The incident at the park.”

He looped a towel I hadn’t noticed around his neck, crossed his arms, and leaned against the doorframe. His eyes narrowed. “What incident?”

“You know, when that girl attacked me and—”

“You tripped and landed on your lovely ass?”

“Lovely…?” My face warmed. “That’s not what happened and you know it,” I protested.

“That’s what I saw.”

Cover Reveal #2 - Mountain of Evil
Mountain of Evil: Trident Security Omega Team - Prequel
Between new clients and governmental contracts, Trident Security has grown in leaps and bounds. To accommodate the increased caseload, they’ve added a second team to their Tampa headquarters. After hiring seven “best of the best” from military and law enforcement backgrounds, they’ve put together a cracker-jack group of six men and one woman. But before they are turned out to handle their own missions, they must first prove they are a cohesive and capable unit.
Dropped into the Rocky Mountains, the Omega team has minimal supplies and two days to make it back to civilization. But what they find in the wilderness turns a training op into a real one. Will they all make it back alive?
***This novella is a bridge between the original Trident Security (TS) Series and the spin off series, Trident Security Omega Team. While it is not necessary to read the original TS series or this prequel before the Omega Team series, it will give the reader more insight and background of the members of Trident Security.

Jax doesn't want to be famous. Stalked by rabid fans and the paparazzi, he dreams of better days when things were normal. But those days are gone. No one can stay under the radar if you're from the Jaynes family. He doesn't trust anymore.

Sivan doesn't have a family. As a part of the foster care system, all she wants is to finish doing her time and move out and on. She doesn't love anymore.

Jax and Sivan are thrust together on a small-town farm in Mount Vernon, Iowa. They take an immediate dislike of one another, trying at every opportunity to trip each other up. They don't want to acknowledge they might be more similar than they first thought.

Will they stay stuck in their past, hanging on to their lack of trust and love? Or can they change before it's too late?

Screams echoed behind me. Dear God, if you get me out of this, I’ll never ditch my bodyguard again. “There he is!” squealed a high-pitched voice. A twelve-year-old girl, like the others in her mob, chased me. And I feared for my life. I’d think about that charming fact later. I darted around the corner and came face-to-face with a brick wall. Dead end. My chest heaved in ragged breaths, and sweat seeped from every pore. Where to escape? I backed into a small alcove to assess. A rabid herd of crazed, stampeding tweens, all wanting a piece of me—hair, t-shirt, shoes, whatever they could rip off—were too close. I needed Ray, my bodyguard, like, this second. But I’d ditched him this morning so I could have a “regular” day at the mall. The type of day I’d enjoyed only six months before. A lifetime ago. I hated my life now. However, focusing on survival was the wisest choice right now. With a lowered head and a tug on my baseball cap, I rounded the corner back into the main corridor and ducked into the nearest store. “Can I use your bathroom?” I asked the clerk. She let out a squeak and dropped something lacy and pink. Not again. “Quick. They’re coming.” My hand tapped an impatient rhythm on her counter. Temporarily shielded by a rack of nightgowns placed at the front entrance, my time was running out. The excited voices from just outside came through loud and clear. “Did you see which store he went in?” a breathless voice asked. “I think he went into Victoria’s Secret.” The stunned clerk pointed to a back hallway. I dashed past bras and crashed into a half-naked mannequin, veered sideways, and managed to lock myself in the closet-sized employee bathroom. Frustrated, I ripped off my cap and threw it across the small room. It bounced off the wall and plopped into the toilet. Figures. My favorite hat splashing in the toilet was the perfect metaphor for my life. No way was I fishing that out of there. I kicked the door and swore under my breath. It was their fault. Why shouldn’t I swear at the top of my lungs? Why not scream obscenities through the door for all the fans to capture on their cell phones? I’d love to see the headlines: Brother of the chart-topping rock band, The Jaynes, has mental breakdown at the Bellevue Square Mall. My mom’s voice floated through my head. Don’t embarrass your brothers. They need your support right now. Just because you didn’t want to join the band doesn’t mean you should turn your back on music. They’ve cleared the path if you ever decide you want a solo career. You can record that artsy Indie stuff you like so much. I paced back and forth in the small room, rubbing the stubble on my chin. It didn’t matter anymore, because I hated music, well, for now anyway. My entire seventeen years spent surrounded by the guitar, piano, violin, and drums didn’t matter anymore. My history wasn’t enough to make me want to play again. What I wanted was an eraser, or maybe time travel. I’d go back and tell my twin, Gage, not to form that stupid rock band with our two older brothers. I’d tell them it would make my life a living nightmare, and it wasn’t worth it. I never wanted it. I never enjoyed it. I wanted my life back. Although, they were enjoying the hell out of all the attention. Famous by default. A genetic twist of fate. Either the girls thought I was my twin brother, Gage, or they were intrigued because the media had labeled me “mysterious.” The fact that I refused all interviews that included our family fascinated the public. Because, in our media-hungry culture, who didn’t want their fifteen minutes? Who didn’t want to be a rock star? Not me. No, thanks. I wanted nothing to do with the music industry or the fans. Correction—fanatics.

Taking Tiffany (A spin-off) is available now.

MK is currently working on a paranormal romance - The Reader. Due out 2016. When she's not writing novels, she likes to spend her free time traveling the world, splashing in mud puddles (She lives in Seattle, what can she say?), watching movies and reading (!)

Trailer: Altercation Mignon Mykel (Playmaker Duet #1) Book Blitz

Mignon Mykel
(Playmaker Duet #1)
Publication date: March 1st 2017
Genres: New Adult, Romance, Sports

Sometimes it’s the fight that proves your worth.
Porter Prescott spent years fighting to be his own person.
His goal of playing for a hockey club not associated with the Prescott name finally comes true.
But just as he’s leaving for the next chapter in his life, he meets her.

Asher Spence spent a lifetime learning she was worthless and unwanted.
She learned that sometimes the only person you can count on is youself, and even then, you can fail.

What starts out as picture perfect can only come crumbling down.
No one listened to her pleas before,
Why should they listen to them now that she’s found a place to finally call home?

But sometimes, it’s the fight that takes you out of the game.
Note: This is book 1 of 2 in the Porter and Asher story. This does end with a cliffhanger that will be resolved in book 2, Holding.
You can also grab book 2 – Holding – that is OUT NOW!
I moved to stand where she’d be able to see me, not really caring if I was blocking the view for some other person waiting. I widened my stance and with my arms crossed over my chest, I kept my eyes trained as far back as I could see. My gaze shifted over the different travelers coming in; the only person I wanted to see was a brunette with crazy colored eyes. And then I saw her.The feeling that overtook me was like a drowning man getting his first breath of air. A starving man getting a fucking full-course meal. She didn’t see me yet, but she would in time. There were maybe eighty people between us and she was nearing. Her hair was braided over her shoulder, wisps of hair falling out and framing her face. She was wearing leggings and those damned boots of hers, but I was surprised to see her shirt was the girly type, long with cuts up the sides, nearly to her waist, and lacy sleeves that played peek-a-boo with the colors adorning her arm. She didn’t carry a bag, just her phone in one hand.I licked my bottom lip before biting it gently, trying to stop the smile from spreading on my face. Didn’t want to look like a complete moron.Forty feet. Her gaze was down at the floor, no doubt watching where she was walking. It didn’t surprise me she was careful like that.Thirty feet.Look up, Asher…Look up.Twenty feet. Her face lifted and, like a magnet, her eyes locked on mine instantly. And the smile on her face?God damn. There was no sense stopping my full-ass smile now, not with the one she just shot my way.If you would have told me, four months ago, I would be the most celibate man in the history of earth, all for the glimpses of smiles from that girl there with more secrets behind her eyes than I could ever hope to uncover, I probably would have laughed in your face.Four months ago, I was gearing up for my rookie season in South Carolina.Four months ago, I was a kid with a big name, going to a team that had nothing to do with said big name.Four months ago, it was rumored I would be the new hot shot in town. Nico certainly didn’t fail to show me the gossip sites, seemingly run by a bunch of puck bunnies. But four months ago, I walked into Starbucks for a goodbye coffee with my sister, and met the girl with secrets. And four months ago, I became addicted without so much as a taste. Now that I’ve had that taste? Shit, I couldn’t wait for more.

Author Bio:
Mignon Mykel is the author of the Prescott Family series, as well as the short-novella erotic romance series, O'Gallagher Nights. When not sitting at Starbucks writing whatever her characters tell her to, you can find her hiking in the mountains of her new home in Arizona.
