How to Marry a Royal Highlander (The Renegade Royals #4) by Vanessa Kelly - Blog Tour, Excerpt, Review & ‪#‎Giveaway‬
How to Marry a Royal Highlander - Vanessa Kelly

This might be my favorite of the series! It's the perfect mix of romance and humor, and even brought tears to my eyes at certain points. Alec and Edie are perfect for each other, even though it takes them a while to figure it out. The love scenes are deliciously sensual, just like I expected based on their chemistry. I was actually pleasantly surprised by Edie's mother - she's a bit get more relaxed as the story progresses and shows her humorous side. Overall a lighter read than the previous in the series, but it made it more entertaining for me.

I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

"How To Marry a Royal Highlander" by Vanessa Kelly

What I liked about this novel..

I loved this historical romance story of Alec[Alasdair Gilbride] and Edie[Eden Whitney]. I will say I laughed so hard at some of the bantering that went on in this novel with Alec and Edie but also especially that of Edie's mom. I was able to catch some of Edie's feeling for Alec quite early in the read, but was quite surprise at a lots of the twist, turns and drama in this read that was so very interestingly presented by this author. The characters were all off the chart well done...being well developed, defined, portrayed, engaging and so very believable. I also liked the way this author was able to give the reader one hot steamy highlander romance story as the heroine and hero are brought together in their lively interaction throughout the read. Who knew that a horrible kiss and being snubbed by the ton would cause such a uproar that would force Edie to have to leave London for the Highlands. And that there would be plans by Edie's mom to start some match making for Edie. I found this read not only fascinating and entertaining with a good depth, a great plot but also a well paced read that will definitely keep your attention all the way till the end.

Review:

"A Grosvenor Square Christmas" by four historical romance authors that give the reader a good holiday read. All for novellas will occur during four different sweet anthology Christmas parties hosted by 'Lady Winterson.' I enjoyed Lady Lucy Frost, Countess of Winterson and the butler Philbert...with mistletoe given to four couples who will find their 'happy ever after' in these lighthearted and endearing novellas.

My favorite novella was Shana Galen's Seduction of a Duchess where the 'older woman/younger man romance.' All of the reads were very intriguing, sweet, some were even humorous reads that will give you a fun read during the Christmas season. If you are looking for a collection of short novellas from some terrific authors I would recommend "A Grosvenor Square Christmas" for you as a wonderful read.

Looks like a short story collection. I enjoy these around the holidays when things get too hectic for anything lengthy.
