A cumulative tale. I'm not someone who thinks all books have to teach kids something or have a good lesson/moral at the end, but I wasn't a fan of the way this story resolves. It seems to boil down to just know the right people and you'll get what you want. 

I will say though I do not have the cultural knowledge to understand the context of this tale, so there's definitely a chance I have misinterpreted it and that my understanding is completely wrong. 

This is a series of 5 articles/essays about the Southside in Chicago, or to be on point crime, justice and race in Chicago.  They are by five different authors so somewhat mixed.

The Waiting Room is most likely the most moving as it deals with the presence of a jail in the neighborhood as well as the impact of jail on the lives of people.  It is more thoughtful and deep than The Gun King, which is about a young man sent to jail for dealing guns.  Gun King does raise legit questions but it needed to be a bit longer.

The profile of Kim Foxx is good and in depth.

The heart is the organ in the body that is responsible for pumping blood throughout the human body. This is a vital function within the human body and when that flow is interrupted or blocked, this is referred to as heart disease. Mayo Clinic experts advise that heart disease, also referred to as cardiovascular disease, includes a variety of different conditions such as blood vessel diseases like coronary artery disease, congenital heart defects as well as arrhythmias, which is when the heart beats too fast, too slow or the heart beat is irregular. Leonardo Gonzalez Dellan is a Venezuelan Philanthropist who has shown his full support and concernwith regards to the treatment and prevention of heart disease.

Leonardo Gonzalez Dellansupports many charities, one of which is the ‘Chain of Hope’ organization. The Chain of Hope organization have a team of volunteer medical staff available to perform emergency treatment on children with heart disease. This organization relies heavily on donations and the volunteer work of Surgeons and other medical staff to ensure that children with treatable conditions of heart disease can get a chance to live their lives to the fullest. Too many children die of heart disease, a fate which can, in most cases be avoided with access to the necessary treatment.

Another charity that Leonardo Gonzalez Dellansupports, is the Daniel BareboimStifting foundation. The aim of this foundation is to overcome cultural and other communication barriers with the use of music through musical education and concerts.Leonardo believes in and supports this foundation. He gets involved inmany other charitable work and makes regular donations where he cannot be of assistance directly. Leonardo is a businessman and entrepreneur providing investment advice to high profile clients, managing investments around the world yet he finds the time to lend a hand wherever he can. What we have here is a man who is not only successful in business, but also in life when he has chosen to utilize his investment skills to invest his money and time where his heart lies!
