My Review:
I just finished reading it and I can't believe I let it sit on my table for so long. I started reading it last October and I wasn't able to finish it until today because of school works and Holiday Preparations. Well as for the book, all I can say is that, I was totally MIND BLOWN! I tried to predict everything that will happen but I didn't even succeed. Not even once. I was totally dumbfounded! It was an awesome read and I love all the characters! And speaking of Characters, my favourites are Lena, Ethan, Uncle Macon and of course, Boo. Who wouldn't like an awesome and adorable wolf? :)
The transition of the story is so amazing that I never had a dull moment reading every single bit of it! I like how the authors showed and described Jackson High as a typical High School from the real world where kids just as weird as Lena will not be able to fit in that easy.
As for the love story, it was delivered so fine that even my dog would giggle because of Ethan and Lena. I love the way how Ethan protects Lena from everything and that he is ready to do everything and anything for her. Now tell me, where can I meet an Ethan Lawson Wate? :)
The setting of the story was in Gatlin County in South Carolina, everything about the setting is described fine and everyone would be able to understand the history and how the county has do to with the whole storyline.
As for Genevieve and Ethan Carter Wate, their love is just so amazing (I've been using the word amazing a lot, I know!)! You can feel their love for each other from the chair that you're sitting on or from the bed that you're lying on and you'll stop and wish that someday you will be able to find your own Ethan. Their story made me stop reading for a while and think of how powerful love is. And that you would do anything and everything in your power just to have the one you love back into your arms even if you know it will cost you a lot.
And for Lila, ah! A love of a mother. She would do anything and everything for her son, Ethan. And if she's still alive, she would be so proud of what Ethan had become. A grown up man.
As for Serafine, Larkin and Hunter, they were just a bunch of selfish dark casters who loves nothing but themselves. Serafine's such a bitch for killing her husband and for putting Lena into so much danger and trouble. If I had a mother like that, I would definitely strangle her to death. Kidding. HAHA! And Larkin, oh sweet Larkin. A traitor! He's just like what he always transforms to. A snake. Hunter or Hunting (forgot, sorry) is Macon's brother who's also an Incubus like him but he's feeding on blood of humans. Unlike Macon who feeds only with human's dreams.
Ridley, oh sweet Ridley that used to be Lena's bestfriend and cousin. Lena would do anything for her but she turned Dark. But still, he can control herself and there's still good inside her. She stopped herself from killing Ethan's father, Mitchell.
And last but not the least, Uncle Macon & Amma. Those two kept a lot of secrets and they know a lot since the very beginning and they would do anything to protect Lena and Ethan. They both love Lena and Ethan and they would do anything in their power just to protect them. Even if it means one of them should risk a life for the children.
All in all, the story is so powerfully amazing and good! I would definitely recommend this to anyone! Give it a try! It's worth the money, time and read! I can't wait to read the 2nd book! :)
Now, I can watch the movie. lol.
My Rating: 5 sunflowers out of 5 sunflowers.
Would I recommend this? Yes.
Would I buy the next book? Absolutely, yes.
Would I try other books from the Author? Yes.
