Review: The Importance of Being Wanton (Wantons of Waverton, #2) by: Christi Caldwell
The Importance of Being Wanton (Wantons of Waverton, #2) - Christi Caldwell

The Importance of Being Wanton by Christi Caldwell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wild hearts lead to passionate heartache. Emma and Charles are match made of spirit. Neither are looking for forever until seduction sets their souls ablaze. Caldwell pulls emotions in every direction. The Importance of Being Wanton is a battle of the heart that is as unpredictable as it is emotional.

The Princess Problem (Unexpectedly Royal) by: Christi Barth
The Princess Problem (Unexpectedly Royal) - Christi Barth

From beginning to end Barth holds your emotions in her hands. Kelsey and Elias wrap themselves around your heart rather quickly and stubbornly refuse to let go. The Princess Problem shakes up the way we view royalty and delights while doing so. Kelsey is ready to live her best life. Her dreams are finally coming true until a sexy stranger throws a detour in the way of her happy ending. Whether you laugh yourself silly or to tears, Barth makes a lasting impressing with this heartwarming, laugh out loud charmer.

Fabulous Historical Romance!
The Spy Who Seduced Her (The Brethren Book 1) - Christi Caldwell

The Spy Who Seduced Her is an outstanding historical romance by Christi Caldwell.  Ms. Caldwell has given readers a well-written book populated with phenomenal characters.  Nathaniel worked for the home office and was captured during a mission.  When he returned he found the woman he wanted to marry had married another so he's dedicated himself to the Brethren and climbed to the top of the agency.  Victoria was pregnant and when Nathaniel didn't return she knew he was dead and her father directed her to marry another.  Nathaniel and Victoria's story is packed with drama, humor, action, spice and suspense.  I loved reading this book and look forward to reading more from Christi Caldwell in the future.  The Spy Who Seduced Her is book 1 of The Brethren but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Spitfire - Christi Caldwell

This one focused on Clara, the ex-madam turned business partner with Reggie Killoran. Her dream of owning a music hall is in peril from the stodgy and prudish political aristocrats and she goes head to head with one of the ringleaders, the Earl of Waterson. He is perfect for her. Stodgy, prudish, proper, and doesn’t know how to have fun of any kind or act irresponsibly. Who better to shake up his world than Clara and she knocks him on his arse, literally, when he jeopardizes her dreams. She saved him months ago on the streets of St. Giles and when he leaves, she never expects to see him again. Their interactions from the moment she shows up at his home and punches him were entertaining, priceless, beautiful, and passionate. I very much enjoyed their story. I hope Henry’s sister Lila gets her own book, she deserves happiness too.

The Bluestocking (Wicked Wallflowers #4) - Christi Caldwell

I looked forward to this one ever since the “Mad Marquess” made his first appearance. I’m glade Gertrude got her happily-ever-after and that Stephen found his real father and got to keep his adoptive family as well. The story was enjoyable and entertaining. The passion good and the pace steady. It isn’t my favorite in the series, but I wasn’t bored with it and I enjoyed watching the characters grow and forgive and heal. Overall good story and strong characters.
