This book is flat out gorgeous! The hardback design is totally gift worthy with the puffy/squishy feeling front cover, the blue ribbon bookmark, not to mention the stunning illustrations! Max and Denalyn Lucado put together a really lovely collection of prayers (some they wrote themselves, others are adapted from well-known works), poems & bible quotes repackaged in simple but heartfelt child language. This collection features prayers children can learn for so many different moments in life -- there are, of course, the simple nightly prayers, but also prayers to say over meals, holiday prayers, prayers for patience and guidance in tough times, there are even prayers for when a child might be being bullied or feeling isolated, lonely. I loved the peaceful, nature-inspired artwork by Lisa Alderson. It gave such warmth and heart to such calming, joyful words! This would make an amazing gift for any upcoming communions, baptisms, Bible School giveaways, or even Easter. Highly recommended for any family library!
