*bookish series created by Moonlight Reader
Recently went through and updated my Planning to Read shelf here on BL and my Want to Read shelf on GR. This includes both my physical and digital books; it also includes a few books I plan to read from the library.
My TBR's number is *Drum Roll* 299.
UGH. Double UGH. Triple UGH.
So for one, I am putting myself on a no spend quarter. No more impulse buys because a blogger like the book or everyone is raving about this new author. Also, NO MORE FREEBIES FROM THE NOOK STORE - not even to find a book to fit a prompt for a challenge/game. This also means staying away from physical book stores and library sales for awhile.
For two, I am going back to TBR Thursdays.* When I made these posts I realized I much more in control of the TBR pile I had and liked seeing the books read versus what was added. I am in the beginning stages of building my reading goals for next year and want a clear view of where I am starting and how I am (or not) progressing; TBR Thursdays are my tools.

Full Court Devotion is a contemporary romance by Cami Checketts. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Checketts has provided readers with a well-written, clean romance. This book is appropriate for all ages. Kazlyn and Ty are college students. If I was younger I'd probably have appreciated this story more. Full Court Devotion is book 3 of the Christmas In Snow Valley Series but it can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Home is where his heart is.
Broken in body and soul, elite Special Forces operative Jack Dresden returns to Devotion, Georgia both dreading and longing to face his past. Leaving behind the only person who made him feel like he was right where he belonged was the hardest thing he’d ever done…until now. Seeing Dillon again brings back all those feelings, along with all the reasons Jack should stay away.
Pretending was never Dillon Bluff’s style. Coming out right after high school, he faced the stigma of being gay in a small Southern town head-on. When Jack walks back into his life, Dillon knows there’s no denying the smoldering hidden torch he’s carried for his former best friend.
Jack’s a mess and the last thing he wants is to hurt Dillon in any way. Fighting through terrifying flashbacks, Jack believes he’s too broken to be any kind of partner to Dillon. But Dillon is determined to take control and show Jack’s heart the way home.
Reader advisory: This book contains a character with PTSD and recollections of torture.
Publisher's Note: This book was previously released elsewhere. It has been revised and reedited for release with Pride Publishing.

Officer Hector Castillo, a sniper on Houston’s elite SWAT team, is content living alone as a perpetual bachelor. But when he opens up his small apartment to a friend in need, their close quarters awaken long suppressed desires Hector can’t help but acknowledge.
Miguel Delgado’s unfortunate detour down a road he never intended to travel ends in a big wake up call, but he vows to get himself back on track. Though he’s always looked up to Hector, Miguel isn’t a kid with hero-worship anymore, and his schoolyard protector has matured into a strong and caring man – who happens to look damn sexy in his SWAT uniform.
Though their physical attraction to each other is undeniable, Hector and Miguel try hard to resist and protect their friendship. Until one night changes everything…
A Sniper’s Devotion is a loving and sexy, friends to lovers m/m romance. Hector and Miguel’s story is part of the Cuffs, Collars and Love series, but it is a stand-alone novel. If you love romance that is epic, emotional and erotic, you’ll want to give this series a read!
Review
I enjoyed this sweet romance between childhood friends all grown up. The fun element is that their families are close and they both have great moms.
Miguel gets back on his feet pretty quickly after leaving his abusive ex and I would have preferred he get some therapy. Hector is kind and does pretty well admitting to his bisexuality after suppressing it for so long.
A feel good romance.
