THE GETAWAY Review
The Getaway (Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 12) - Jeff Kinney

The latest entry in this long-running kid’s fiction series sees the Heffley family vacationing at a tropical island resort during Christmastime. As is expected from Kinney’s bestselling books, things go horribly — and are narrated by middle son Greg, i.e. the “Wimpy Kid.”

It’s really no secret this series has declined in quality in recent years, but I did enjoy The Getaway. As far as Heffley vacations go, it’s certainly no The Long Haul, but it does yield several laugh out loud moments. This series now seems to be at its best when it sees the family going somewhere. Kinney seems to have exhausted all plot ideas involving these characters hanging out at home.

A perfectly fine addition to the Wimpy Kid series, this doesn’t quite reach the heights of the early entries but it’s an enjoyable ride all the same.

A new twist for this pair
Jewels and Panties (Book, Seven): Dark Diary - Brooke Kinsley

Book seven in the Jewels and Panties series sees some happy, together time for Lincoln and Etta, or so they think. Just when I thought the series was winding to a close, Brooke Kinsley throws another wrench into the works and the couple has another problem. This one may be the biggest yet, considering it's personal and as far as Lincoln is concerned, coming out of nowhere.
This whole series has been one nail-biting thrill after another, with characters that seem like good guys, but maybe aren't so good, and bad guys that are the worst of the worst. It's packed full of enough twists and turns to give you whiplash, cliffys that will leave you holding your breath and keep you guessing, and the creep factor is over the moon. Add in the steamy fun and even some romance, and this series has it all. Each book is about an hour's read time and impossible to put down.
Overall, Dark Diary has a bit more romance in it, but it's still dark and of course, leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to see what's next in Lincoln and Etta's journey.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 9 - Jeff Kinney

Same as the others except that this one I particularly disliked toward the end. I don't like "comedy" where everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. To me, instead of funny, it's frustrating and annoying. And that's where this book went toward the end.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 8 - Jeff Kinney

I'm getting tired of Greg. Otherwise, same review as the other books. I did chuckle a couple of times.

The Third Wheel (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 7) - Amulet Books

This book was about Greg Heffley going to prom and he went to prom and it basically turned his world upside down. He thinks that no one will take him on a date because no one like shim. But , he had a crush on this girl but the girl didn't like him at all. His best friend found a date but he didn’t and he felt left out. But, at the end everything turns out right.

The connection of this book connected to me book because I want to go to prom but , I don’t think that I would want to go with anybody to prom or no one would want to go to prom with me. This story connects to text because in most Diary Of A Wimpy Kids books that I read I always see that there is always a problem with him about anything that he does. This story connects to the world because in the text Greg sometimes gets bullied and in thee word kids are being bullied.

Would I recommend this book ? Yes , I really would recommended this book to others because these books are funny and they are entertaining but over all they give a really good message and the encourage me too be confident.
