Review: Existence by Abbi Glines
Existence - Abbi Glines

I know many people will hate me for this (please don't kill me), but I absolutely hatedthis book. You may notice I don't hand one-stars easily; in fact, I hate giving books that rating. There are barely any books I disliked enough to do this to them. This is one of them.

The summary for this book was so promising, I was sure I'd like this book.

But it all went downhill from about the moment I read the characters' namesI know it sounds silly, but names like Pagan, Leif and Dank kind of put me off. I could've ignored it, had the rest of the story been good.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like good characters make good stories. Not always, of course, but often enough.

Pagan, was not a good character in my book. I truly and honestly couldn't figure out what either guy saw in her. Not to mention I found her soul far from "beautiful".
She was okay at first, but from there she turned to horrible very quickly.
Prepare yourself for a rant.
First - Pagan uses Leif. She claims to have fallen madly in-love with Dank, yet kisses and messes with Leif just cause he's "real". I hated this about her. Not to mention it made her a stinking cheater.
Then, there was her...

Review: To Kill A Warlock by H.P Mallory
To Kill A Warlock - H.P. Mallory

Alas, another book I was just glad to be done with (but luckily no money involved with this one), and another one I can't be bothered to write a pretty and well organized review for. You'll have to deal with the messy, or not. Your choice…

I've been so excited to read a H.P Mallory book since she's been on my authors-to-check list for a while, and even more excited when I got this as a free kindle book from Amazon!
Let's just say the excitement died pretty early on.

I couldn't stand the writing. Something about it just caught in my ear and made me wince, made me grit my teeth and hope this would be over soon. I can't even tell you what about it guaranteed such an extreme reaction, only that it did. Maybe it was Dulcie's voice itself that was the problem? I think I will be giving another of Mallory's books a try (though not any time soon) to check that out.

While reading this book the question why the heck am reading this book kept popping into my mind, flashing in...

Review: Dancing with the Devil by Keri Arthur
Dancing With the Devil - Keri Arthur

This review will not be divided into sections, simply because I can't be bothered. In the end, I was just glad I was done with this book, and sad I ever spent 8 pounds for it.

This book was filled with dull moments. I mean, even the parts presenting themselves as action were boring. The heroes kept getting into traps and nearly dying, never succeeding, always in pain…it gets boring, real fast. Plus, how stupid can you be – always falling into traps? Couldn't they put up a trap of their own, at a point? I'd have liked them better for it.

Some parts really made no sense. Michael, the male main character of this story, found the whereabouts of the villain about half a dozen times, always ending with fade-to-black and some obscene notion "it's time for the hunter to become the hunted" and stuff like that, but when we came back to him – Jasper (the "evil dude") was still at large, Michael had done nothing to him and suddenly had to look all over again for him – WTF? Why didn't he do anything when he found him, killed him right there and then? And then suddenly you expect us to believe it's very difficult to find Jasper?...

Then there were the...
