Great series all in one place
The Dirty Sexy Series Box Set: The entir... The Dirty Sexy Series Box Set: The entire Dirty Sexy Series (A Dirty Sexy Novel Book 5) - Carly Phillips,Erika Wilde

Dirty Sexy Saint
Samantha is a rich girl that is supposed to do what her father says and marry who her father says and just be the good little wife. Clay is the bar owner with a past who is always a what you think. When the two meet when Samantha needs him and she proves that she is not what he thinks she is. Can this "Saint " and "cupcake" be together or will Samantha rich upbringing and Clays rough upbringing pull them apart.

This is the first of the a new series for Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde and is a great start. Can't wait for the second book.

Dirty Sexy inked
This is the second book in the series, Mason the bad boy man whore who doesn't think he deserves to be loved and Katrina (kitty-kat) his best friend who he has always protected her. Katrina has knowing been in love with mason for years. One weekend in Vegas for Mason's brother's wedding could change everything.

This was a great read and a wonderful collaboration by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. Cannot wait for the next installment of Levi's story.

Dirty Sexy Cuffed
This being the third book in the series you know some of the background of the characters. Levi is the quiet cop brother with secrets that makes him want to stay in control all the time. When he meets Sarah he wants to get to know her and she has things that she wants to hide from. They have a lot in common with their pasts. They have great chemistry and Levy is a dirty talking sexy Alpha man who wants to protect her but will he be able too.

This was a great read from both Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips and with a great teaser for the next book dirty sexy sinner.

Dirty Sexy Sinner

Jackson came to Kincaid's looking to meet his brother especially his twin, after he finds out about them, and has to tell the Kincaid brothers who he is. Excellent first part of a fantasy trilogy
The Queen of the Tearling - Erika Johansen

I've been waiting to read this trilogy for a while, recommended by my wife. This first volume sets the scene as Kelsea, the heir to the Tearling throne, is brought back to the capital to take the throne, facing assassins and plots all along the way.

Nicely building up the action and bringing along the plot at a fair rate, this novel also includes a fair deal of good characterisation as well as exciting action.

Well recommended and the second volume will be high on my reading list in the next few weeks.

Three Times Beckett
Warten Auf Godot / Endspiel / Glückliche Tage - Samuel Beckett,Erika Tophoven,Elmar Tophoven

I was curious about Beckett and I was especially curious about his play Waiting for Godot. This is because whenever I have heard about it, people were either really enthusiastic or really bitchy about it. So I just did, what everyone should do in this situation – I made up my own mind.

Waiting for Godot
I like this play.
Although there is not much action going on, a lot is actually happening in this play. It is amazingly sad, funny, beautiful, depressing, cruel and touching at the same time. The relationship between Estragon and Wladimir is just incredible. And Godot? I have no idea, who or what Godot is and neither had Beckett. But is this really important? For all it’s worth, I do not think that it matters at all.

Endgame
I also like this play.
Again, it is sad and beautiful at the same time. If I had to establish a central theme, it would be the power of human relationships. Beckett shows, that no matter how sick you are of someone else and how much you may despise one another, sometimes you are so dependent on each other, that – for good or worse – you simply cannot leave.

Happy Days
I do not like (to read) this play.
There are two types of plays - plays written to be read and plays written to be staged. Happy Days is definitely the latter. Although it is quite short, it is extremely exhausting to read due to the fact that it is basically an ongoing monologue, constantly interrupted by stage directions (which you can skip, but then it is even weirder or which you cannot skip, but then they are just annoying and interrupting the non-existent flow of the text).

I salute to every actress to take on this roll, I imagine, this is incredibly hard to play, but, honestly, reading it is a sheer nightmare.

Take a Chance (Vegas Heat Novel Book 2)
Take a Chance (Vegas Heat Novel Book 2) - Erika Wilde Judge a person, not by the mistakes made, but the lessons learned from them. Erika Wilde, has created a world where there is no black and white, only shades of grey. People have an agenda, hearts get broken and secrets abound. The Reliance Group may be unorthodox but they know how to get the job done. Sean O'Brien is a bad boy. He toes the line between con - artist and good guy, but hasn't quite figured out where he belongs. TRG saved him from his former life only to set him on a course that will have him facing his past in an up close and personal way. Zoe Russo is a woman with a plan. Find a place to launch her business and make it a success. Turning her dream into a reality has been anything but easy, then Sean walks into her life. Complicated, just became a whole lot worse. Let the explosives begin. Take a Chance is full of complexities. Ranging from a morality tale, to a redemption story and lead by an electromagnetic force of attraction, Ms. Wilde takes readers on an emotionally charged journey of healing that makes for a bumpy ride, but a worthy opponent.

The Fate of the Tearling: A Novel (Queen of the Tearling, The) - Erika Johansen

I've loved this trilogy and feel loss now that it's over. The loss is compounded by the ending!

Not at all what I expected. With the flashes of the past and the constant reminders of history repeating, I feel like I should've expected this conclusion. However....

***********SPOILER************

.......wiping clean the slate, the characters, the romances, the lessons, ALL OF IT, leaves me feeling a bit empty.

That being said it was still an engaging and adventurous read that I would recommend to anyone.

Props to Erika Johansen for imagination.
