REVIEW BY CHARLOTTE - Taking Root (The Eros Tales #1) by Katherine McIntyre
Taking Root (The Eros Tales #1) - Katherine McIntyre

@XpressoReads, @hotchoc84 (Charlotte), @PixieRants, #Contemporary, #Romance, #Suspense, 4 out of 5 (very good)

I’ve been burned by my ex-fiancée and sentenced myself to long shifts at the hospital ever since. There’s no way I’d give anyone else the opportunity to break my heart again.

Until chance brings me face to face with the girl from my past.

Danielle is still as beautiful as ever, and seeing her reminds me of how I felt about her—how I still feel about her.

But she’s changed. I can see it when I look into her eyes. It’s like she’s no longer living, but merely existing. An enigma laden with secrets from her past—secrets that are forcing her to run from me. Only this time, I won’t let her get away so easily.

I’m determined to peel away every layer of secrets she carries around her, and to protect her from whatever it is that’s causing her to run.

Danielle Reynolds will not slip through my fingers again.

This time…she stays.

REVIEW BY MERISSA - Taking Root (Eros Tales #1) by Katherine McIntyre
Taking Root (The Eros Tales #1) - Katherine McIntyre

@PixieRants, #Contemporary#Romance, 5 out of 5 (exceptional)

TAKING ROOT is the first book in the Eros Tales, and this promises to be a fantastic new series.

Danny's life was turned upside down when she was seventeen. Since then, she has travelled the States, never setting down roots, and never knowing when she will be moving on. She is sent to a town so very close to where she grew up, knowing the risks she will have to take if she meets anyone she once knew. She wasn't counting on the steadfast stubbornness of one Adrian Dukas though.

This was brilliantly written, showing Danny's loneliness and the trials and tribulations she has lived through, without it detracting from the current set up. Also, you get enough details about her father to make it horrific, without it going into information overload. There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading, and I found the pacing to be very smooth. With no plot holes I fell through, this was a gripping story from start to finish.

I loved the Dukas family, and I sincerely hope we will be seeing more of them. Absolutely recommended by me.

Priapo Ottimo Massimo, o il Fallo in camicia nera
Eros e Priapo (Da furore a cenere) - Carlo Emilio Gadda

È sconcio sconcissimo turpiloquio, violentissimo attacco, invettiva furente. È satira a livelli altissimi.

Invece fu sciagura infame e rivoltante. Hè-jà hè-jà trallallà.

"Money, Power and No Regrets" by Eros

My Thoughts....

This is one urban fiction that moves very fast and you will have to keep up because there is so much going on from page to page!  I found it to be very entertaining read of life in the hood with some very interesting characters that will have you shaking your head. That ending... well you will just have to pick this novel up and see how it all comes to a end to see if Justine will finally get the happiness and peace that she so deserved.
