Falling for my Enemy (Forbidden Lovers #3) by: Natasha L. Black
Falling for my Enemy (Forbidden Lovers #3) - Natasha L. Black

Falling For My Enemy packs loads of heat and personality into a deeply emotional romance. Black gives a bit of food for thought with Jeremiah and Maggie. He's the man intent on shaking up her town. She's the woman who refuses to back down. Two strong personalities have the ultimate fight on their hands until love makes compromise even more of an uphill battle. Black exposes the heart as she tempts the senses with a sensual battle of wills.

Tuesday's BoB24 Challenge Post
Nobody's Angel - Karen Robards
Rebellion - Nora Roberts
With Every Letter - Sarah Sundin
The Dragon and the Pearl - Jeannie Lin
Falling for the Enemy - Naomi Rawlings

Challenge

Character dinner party

You are hosting an intimate dinner party for five of your favorite characters. Who do you invite and what food do you serve?

I am of two minds in how I want to answer this challenge: do I go with the romance genre and break the rules a bit and invite 5 couples or do I go with another genre and just pick 5 characters. I decided to go with the romance genre and bend the challenge perimeters a bit.

First, the invitees: Susannah and Ian (from Nobody's Angel by Karen Robards), Serena and Brigham (from Rebellion by Nora Roberts), Mel and Tom (from With Every Letter by Sarah Sundin), Li Tao and Ling (from The Dragon and the Pearl by Jeannie Lin), and finally, Gregory and Danielle (from Falling for the Enemy by Naomi Rawlings).

Second, the food: Honestly hosting this many people in my small British kitchen is the least appealing thing I can think of, so I would just book a table at a nearby restaurant or order take-away. I would serve whatever is ordered in an orderly take a plate and help yourself buffet style while the hubby plays bartender and I make lots of tea. Just very casual and mingling with each other. I would bake a Victorian sponge cake and put out some small chocolates for after dinner.

Good Story and Good Characters
Falling for Her Enemy (Still Harbor) - V... Falling for Her Enemy (Still Harbor) - Victoria James

Alex has an adopted daughter Cassy who is seven from the foster care system.  But Hayden may be her biological father Hayden was angry he had not been told he possibly fathered a child. The biological mother of Cassy said she will go public with Hayden being a deadbeat dad  if he doesn’t give her a million dollars. Hayden finds a private investigator Matt who lives with Alex sister Kate. Hayden had never thought about fathering a child.Hayden found out a drunken one night stand may have resulted in a daughter.  Hayden is ready to take over the responsibility of his daughter. Hayden wants to bring his daughter home. Alex is scared she will lose the life she fought so hard to build. Alex has trust issues and a fear of abandonment and lives for Cassy and she is a single mom by choice. She feel she may lose the only good thing in her life again.   Alex was a bakery manager but hoped to but said bakery in five years. Than Alex finds out the owners must sell they bakery very soon and not five years from now. Alex and Hayden want to hate each other but their chemistry was hot. Alex has never had feelings and emotions like she has for Hayden. Hayden was a very successful man. He has lived to work since his mother had died when he was a child. Hayden forgot what a family feels like.  He is a workaholic and has no time for family ir love. Hayden spent his life trying to make up for a mistake he made when he was younger.

I enjoyed this sweet emotional read a lot. This grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept it until the end. I loved the plot and pace. I choked up at times while reading this book. I loved Cassy and felt she added to this book. I also loved Alex and Cassy relationship. I loved Alex and Hayden’s relationship and how they interacted. I felt bad for both Alex and Hayden and their pasts. I wish I could rate this a 4.5. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.

Book Review For: Falling for the Enemy by C.M. Steele
Falling for the Enemy (Falling Series Book 2) - C.M. Steele

'Falling for the Enemy' by C.M. Steele is book the "Falling" series. This is the story of John Moriarty and Layla Hendricks. I have not yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
This is my first book by Ms. Steele and I am so happy I found her. I just loved this book. Yes, it does have 'Instant Love' and somewhat Alpha Male...which are books I love! Also this is a easy fast read that I had to finish in one sitting!
Layla is away at College and trying to keep her bills down so she does not cause to much expense for her brother. Layla worships her brother who is older and step up to be a father figure to her. So she doesn't want to hurt or disappoint him at all.
While trying to kill time waiting for her college roommate to be done with her boyfriend she goes to the local Starbucks where she sees John walk in. Layla she is instantly attracted to him but he looks older than she and figures he is out of her league. When she gets up to leave he comes over and blocks her exit. John introduces himself and confess that he thinks he just fell in love with her.
John is a successful business man and happens to be walking by a Starbucks when he sees Layla in there. John is instantly attracted to her and goes in and sits down. Watching her until she starts to leave. John goes over and he feels things he hasn't felt before. Layla takes his breath away. Neither really knows who the other is but things change when they do for Layla. Layla would never hurt her brother but John knows he must have Layla.
Loved this quick read!
"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
