Toe-Up Two at a Time Socks
Toe-Up 2-At-A-Time Socks: Yet Another Revolution in Knitting Two at Once on One Circular Needle! Includes 15 New Sock Patterns - Melissa Morgan-Oakes

I like to make socks and frequently look at sock patterns to make socks. I also recently received two very nice skeins of sock yarn from a friend that I am excited to make socks with. She uses sock yarns to make some very beautiful lacework shawls (she is very talented). This book was very discounted a couple of weeks ago and I bought it as it has some skills that I want to learn. I will practice with the new yarns and make some two at a time socks for me and my girls.

Knitting Socks
Socktopus: The Knitter's Guide to Designing Socks - Alice Yu

I love to borrow books from my local libraries. I love that I can go to different libraries and borrow knitting and crochet books as they don't all have the same. I found this book at the Mary L Cook Library in Waynesville, OH.

Another thing, I love to knit and crochet and I do enjoy making socks, but I like to stay home to work on them or sit somewhere quiet to knit on them. So I borrow Sock books frequently.

This book was fun to look at and read the patterns. There were some that could be generic (male/female), but mostly they were for women/girls. This book had many different looks to the socks and one showed a fun pinwheel heel. I would love to try that. I do copy the patterns from the book in order to make some of them. It is always a good idea to copy the pattern from the book so you can mark on it as you are making the pattern. You really don't want to mark up a book you buy or a book you borrow.

I recommend this book to anyone who knits and loves to make socks. If you look at it what was your favorite pattern?

Fox in Socks
Fox in Socks - Dr. Seuss

This book is another classic in the Dr. Seuss dynasty. Fox in Socks tries to teacher Mr. Knox about some of the silliest, twistiest tongue twisters.  This book has it all from tongue twisters to rhymes to funny pictures tripping you up every step of the way. So hang on to your hats you are in for a very twisty tricky ride. The only reason I rate this book four stars is because it is so hard to read. I think the perfect activity to do with this book in class would be a word sort. I would have the students pick out words they think are real and words they think are nonsense and write them down. Then using the words they created fill up two very different socks with those words to display what real words are and what nonsense words are.
