The Reincarnationist (Reincarnationist #1) - M.J. Rose

4 stars.

1st in a series.

I am definitely interested in reading the rest of the series, though this book could have used an additional eye in editing.

Portions could have (should have) been expanded for clarity and better story telling.

The Alexandria Link - Steve Berry

4 stars.

#2 in the series.

Reread (many years later) so I can read them in order. Since I didn't remember much of the book it was fun. It also helped fit characters in the time line of the series together. Since I'm a fan of all things Library of Alexandria, I can imagine I may read this one yet again in the future.

Since I wasn't feeling well, the three days it took to read felt longer.

I particularly like the Writer's Note and Interview at the end of the book.

I'm looking forward to rereading (and reading for the first time) the rest of the series, in order.

How the Light Gets In: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel - Louise Penny

5 stars.

#9 in the series.

I have tried to read all of these in order, that is my preference with any series, book, television,  movie, etc.

Could this possibly be the final book in the series? I guess I'll just see!

Gap Creek - Robert Morgan

4 stars.

1st in a series, really looking forward to reading the rest.

Based on the lives of the authors ancestors; truth is stranger than fiction.

The Summer of Dead Toys: A Thriller - Antonio Hill

3.5 stars rounded down.

1st in a series. Would read more if they came my way, but I wouldn't seek them out.

We'll written, strong characters. European tone and locations, though originally written in English.
