Much that was predictable, several surprises, anyway, room for more if Stroud ever wants to write it. Much better for getting on with the over-arching story line. Perfect for my mood.

Some heavy handed foreshadowing suggests my guess about the Big Bad is right...is there a twist I don't see coming?

In terms of the series as a whole, progress is at a snail's pace. There are hints that eventually George is gonna figure out the overall cause of the Problem and that Lucy's insights are going to be crucial but that's about it.

I don't know if this is the last book, but I actually hope that it isn't. I'm just smitten with everything about this! The characters are fabulous, the stories are just scary enough to be fascinating, and the plots are all amazing. This is the 5th book and it hasn't lost any steam.

*happy sigh*

It was a good one to read before I dive into something REALLY dark and depressing for my next read. Hahaha.
