Logical Chess Move By Move: Every Move Explained New Algebraic Edition - Irving Chernev This is a great book for beginners. I say that as a beginner myself. I feel the analysis of whole games really gives a feeling for the development of the game, and that the move by move format is great window into the specifics. It introduces a lot of basic strategic concepts along the way but also shows neat tactical aspects to the game, both those played as well as the unplayed ones that guided the game. Very enjoyable. That being said I can't much explain why I stalled out just past halfway through although I am actively seeking to improve my chess. Will definitely get back to this one.

Logical Puzzles
Logical Puzzles PB Spiral Bound - chartwell books Dane was the childhood friend Mariel could always rely on. They spent a lot of time together, and had many memories, good and bad, that they shared. Mariel had mistakenly thought her teenage self in love wih Dane, pursuing him to his home one night after a first kiss, and found him going at it with another girl in his garage. Dane was upset by her leaving, but even he was not ready to admit to any feelings of forever after, then or in the present. Mariel has been gone for ten years. Back with her family, broke from an ex-lover and business partner that squandered her fortune, she wants to design mens clothing. Dane is now all grown up and he agrees to help her, as long as she helps him by pretending to be his lover. Dane and Mariel sizzle together, and it is not long before they are really lovers. Mariel knows she loves him, but Dane does not do commitment or forever after. Will bringing him back together with his father help him learn to love? A very nice story.

Logical Chess Move By Move: Every Move Explained New Algebraic Edition - Irving Chernev The games contained in Logical Chess are fairly simple and Black usually makes a huge blunder within the first twenty moves (either terrible piece placement or blissful ignorance of White's mating attack). Thus the book is useful to learn a few development tricks that'll help you secure the point (rather quickly, I might add) against a more inexperienced opponent. If you're looking for positional subtleties, however, this isn't the book for you.

Logical Chess Move By Move: Every Move Explained New Algebraic Edition - Irving Chernev This is such a good book. Above all others I'd recommend this to people who have a bit of chess interest but think reading a book will be too hard. Having said that, you can be any standard and get something from it.

An Examination Of Logical Positivism
An Examination Of Logical Positivism - Julius Rudolph Weinberg This is, in my opinion, a work of genius. It was Weinberg's dissertation. See also his Short History of Medieval Philosophy. It contains a sustained and scorching critique of Wittgenstein and Carnap.
