The Mistress...a 180 degree fail
The Mistress - Tiffany Reisz

There was so much of this book I loved and at 90% what could have been an absolutely beautiful moment for three amazing characters turned into some of the most out of character actions I have seen...EVER. I had thought I was being punked honestly and that things could not possibly be how they appeared.

But the joke is on me...because shit was fucked for real.

This series ran way off course with the actions that took place at the end of this book and this relationship was cheapened beyond repair. I'm devastated.

While I finished the next book in this series I should have stopped after book 3. Not sure I can trust this author again. Very sad because she's quite talented.

MY BEST FRIEND'S STEPFATHER by Opal Carew
My Best Friend's Stepfather - Opal Carew
Ashley wants to do an article on BDSM for the magazine where she works. Dare, a Dom, tells her the best way for her to learn about BDSM is to live it. He will teach her. She is hesitant because Dare is her friend's ex-stepfather but she is also exciting and willing to learn. Her boss, Adam, who has feelings for her is not happy with the way she is doing her research for her article.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters. I also liked that Ashley was unsure of her feelings but with her friend Jessie giving her ideas and Helen, the ex-best friend, telling her stories of the past, once she is given an option she goes with it. I did not see the ending coming but it was perfect. The sex was hot and plentiful.

A hot, quick read.

Option Number Three

by Samantha A. Cole

 (Trident Security #7.5)

Publication Date: February 26th 2017

About the book:

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas ... or does it?

Dominant Mitch Sawyer has been lusting after submissive Tori Frejya since she first stepped into the private BDSM club he owns with his cousins. But he had waited too long to approach her, and she now belongs to someone else, while he watches from afar. When Tori asks him for a favor that involves going to Vegas with her and Dominant switch, Tyler Ellis, Mitch can’t say no.

After a night with Tori and Tyler that goes way out of his comfort zone, Mitch is left confused and unsure for the first time in his life. He now faces three options—but will he have the courage to choose the one he never knew he wanted?

Option Number Three (Trident Security #7.5)Option Number Three by Samantha A. Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #7.5 in the Trident Security series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order.

Tori and Tyler have a good thing going. They are happy, in love, and not looking to change that. It just becomes evident to both of them that they are attracted to Mitch.

Mitch is not sure what to think about this development. He knows he has always wanted Tori. Now, with new feelings for Tyler emerging it is shaking his foundation.

I thought this story came across very real. My only complaint was I felt a bit rushed with the solution at the end. This does not take away from the story at all. These characters just are really hot and fun to read.
