The Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook: Easy & Healthy Mediterranean Pressure Cooker Recipes - Quick, Delicious, and Time-Saving Recipes for Electric Pressure Cookers (incl. Detox Smoothies) - Julia Garcia

he Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook: Easy & Healthy Mediterranean Pressure Cooker Recipes - Quick, Delicious, and Time-Saving Recipes for Electric Pressure Cookers (incl. Detox Smoothies) by Julia Garcia
Always fun to find new things to put into our pressure cooker that are healthy.
Book starts in with the advantages of electric pressure cooking and how to clean it naturally.
Recipe chapters include: soups, vegetarian, fish and seafood, poultry, meat, desserts, detox smoothies and meal plan with shopping list.
Also conversion tables and abbreviations explained. We are eating more healthier these days since my husband's heart attack and find the pressure cooker is so much easier and faster to use for a most healthy option of eating.
What we look for in recipes is fat content-have to know the good and bad parts, sodium and sometimes sugar. We also like to see the picture and to find the ingredients are fresh and healthy ones-not pre packaged salty items.
Very useful information in the first chapters of the book about nutrition and don't give up on recipes are crucial. Love very high quality color photos throughout the book, not just for the recipes. Love the ideas of cleaning the inner pot-will give them a try!
Each recipe comes with a color photo and a bit about the dish and what allergies the dish is made for: gluten free, soy free, nut free, etc.
Tells you how long to prepare the dish and cooking time, servings also.
Useful tips along the way.
List of ingredients but feel free to substitute for your dietary needs, especially using low sodium varieties.
Directions are given along with nutritional information that includes calories, proteins, carbs, dietary fibers, sugars, fat and sat. fats, no sodium levels are noted.
Like the suggestions on how to make the dish a bit different.
Chocolate cake will be one to try when we have company as fat content is a bit high for us to eat the cake on our own-we could have a sliver. Ground beef omelet sounds really good and quick to make.
Smoothie recipes do not use the pressure cooker but go along with a high nutrient based cookbook in a liquid form.
Found quite a few recipes I will try in the next few weeks. Other works by the author are highlighted at the end.
I received this book from the author and this is my honest review

Pressure Cooker: 22 Amazing Pressure Cooker Recipes for Losing Your Weight (Pressure Cooker, Pressure Cooker recipes, Pressure Cooker books) - Brian Frey

Pressure Cooker: 22 Amazing Pressure Cooker Recipes for Losing Your Weight (Pressure Cooker, Pressure Cooker recipes, Pressure Cooker books)
We are thinking of getting a modernized pressure cooker for a steamer, ricer and slow cooker and yogurt maker so we wanted to find out about the recipes and how much different they'd be to make.
Our concern is with the psi and will it explode. The recipes in this book do include a photo and do not have nutritional information. Some of the recipes only include a bit of the recipe-it doesn't tell you how to make parts of it=recipe 14.

Electric Pressure Cooker Guide & Cookbook
Electric Pressure Cooker Guide and Cookbook: Starter Guide and 100 Delicious Recipes - Chef Spence,Larry Haber

So far this is one of the better cookbooks for electric pressure cookers. It has (at least for me) much needed information that did not come with my cooker. My only real issue is it seems like the recipes are "cut & pasted" from other sources.....while not a huge issue.....some just seem to be missing information that is most likely shared in the blog/post but is not part of the recipe. This is available as a KU book..., but I ended up purchasing it....I felt it was worth the 3.99 for the " guide" part of the book alone

Not Sure about this one
Pressure Cooker Recipes For Electric Pressure Cookers: 100 Delicious Electric Pressure Cooker Recipes - Gloria Stone

I got an electric pressure cooker for christmas and unfortunately it did not come with any recipes to get you started.....I have never cooked with a pressure cooker, stove top or electric.  While there are plenty of cookbooks for stove top pressure cookers there are not a whole lot out there for the electric.  There is a difference between the two in the "highest PSI" settings the electric typically only get up to about 12 or 13 PSI, while the stovetop one's can get up to 15 PSI and that difference affects the amount of time to cook.  I don't know enough to be able to figure out how much time to add or subtract....I know that there will be a lot of trial and error but I had really been hoping to find some basic recipes to work with.

One of my favorite foods is Risotto and this book had several recipes....while I used a couple of the them for the basics I don't know that I would call her recipe's risotto...some don't even have cheese....to me risotto is thick and creamy and cheesy.  While I did find some of the recipes in this book useful as a "starting point", there was not much else helpful.  Fortunately this is a Kindle Unlimited book so was able to borrow.....
