After hearing about Ronan Farrow cutting ties with Hachette over them publishing his sister's abuser's memoir, and seeing the subsequent employee walkout at various Hachette imprints, I just noticed this on Hachette Australia's Facebook page:

I wonder how many angry tweets, DMs, and emails it took for them to go full Mariah Carey on this.

I'm trying on a new blog name and avatar. I talked about doing this months ago, and today I decided I've been Darth Pony for long enough. Time for a change. So it's out with the Pony and in with the Pedant and a new avatar to match.

Randomness is a post I came up with to share with you all the other things in my life. I love books and blogging, but I also do other things. I wanted a post where I could share with you some of those other things, products, purchases, and more….

One of the gifts I got at Christmas (2017) was the AeroGarden Herb Kit. My son helped me set the Garden up and has been helping me keep it going. I like having fresh herbs at my fingertips and ones that last. I’m considering getting another AeroGarden but with a different seed pods.

The AeroGarden has many different pod type options you can go with, so if you want something different or more then one garden you can pick and choose. Cherry Tomato Seed Pods, Salsa Garden Seed Pods, Harvest Cherry Tomato Seed Pods, Salad Greens Mix Seed Pods, & others. 

Day 1:

It has a fully interactive touch screen control panel that tells you when to add water, reminds you when to add plant food, and automatically turns lights on and off.

Here we have our Seed Pods set into the spots we want.

Day 6:

On Day 6, we started to see some plant growth with a few of the herbs.

Day 10:

On Day 10, we see more growth and some of the lids could come off.

Day 15:

On Day 15, more plants have popped up and are growing taller.

Boy do these herbs look amazing.

My husband did good on picking out a Christmas gift. I didn’t have the AeroGarden on my wish-list, but I’m so happy with the product. The plants keep growing and all I have to do is trim now and then. When I cook I have fresh herbs and don’t have to buy from the story.
Really great product and gift idea.

Hubby: How are you going with those Jim Henson books?

Me: I finished them.

Hubby: What? ALL of them?

Me: Yeah. All three.

Hubby: Holy crap, you need a hobby!

Me:

Hubby: . . . Oh. I guess that is a hobby. Never mind.

I love books, but I also love to binge watch TV shows. Here are a few TV Shows I’ve been enjoying this season.

The Big Bang Theory – Season 10

This is my favorite show. I love watching re-runs. I’m enjoying the new season.

Young Sheldon – Season 1

I’m loving this show. It’s narrated by Jim Parsons, who plays the adult version of Sheldon on “The Big Bang Theory.”It’s adorable seeing Sheldon as a young boy.

Bull – Season 2

I loved Michel Weatherly on NCIS and now he’s got his own show, BULL. Dame it’s fun and enjoyable. I’m hooked.

Lethal Weapon – Season 2

I’m an action junkie. Lethal Weapon has lots of action and explosions. I enjoy Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh. They are fun.

NCIS Los Angeles – Season 9

I didn’t start watching this one until last year. I binge watched until I was caught up to date. I use to watch NCIS, but then we stoped having TV and I stopped watching the show. I just haven’t gotten back into that one, but I’m enjoying NCIS Los Angeles.

Lucifer – Season 3

Who doesn’t love Lucifer? This show is fun and Lucifer is yummy! I like the direction it goes and the unique cast of characters, which features angels, demons, and more.
