I was on the second book of one of the most famous fiction antichrist Saga's known the Damien Omen saga, there was 6 book's written by different authors i'm not going sit here and say the book's were based on the film or vice versa when I don't know. The thing I do know though, is the sega is amazing!! It has that kind of retro Horror feel about it that has been copied a lot, but this is the original and it's held it's craze as a classic.

Damien is now 13 in this book. And for some reason doesn't actually know he's the Antichrist. To me that seemed a bit out of place as I'm sure in the 1st book he is actually told.

The plot, it's self was fantastic, it didn't quite focus on the main protagonist Danien but mainly on those around him and for the family he was adopted into the 'Thorns' and the Thorn's corporation, it had a quite of up to age feel that I liked considering this book was written by the author in 1978! It didn't have a drudging polt and the paperback was slim and easy to read. I'm actually so hyped I now own this whole collection! As it really is classic horror read. I just have to watch the films now!

A boy Born of a Jackel?...   I get that! But how does Satan impregnate it? How did they get his sperm? Did he rise up and say hi, I'm Lucifer, son of lies, I'm here to do some sick stuff and make a son?

I honestly thought this when reading the book!? I know I'm strange but in the book it has no explanation at all to how they got the devil's Sperm to make Damian, they just said he was born of a jackel?

Apart from that I loved this classic horror book, The idea of the Antichrist being born made for a very chilling and spooky tale.

David seltzer does an amazing written work on this. The story grips you and sucks you in and I have to say is, I didn't put the book down. The plot involving the thorn's as well as the other character's is, fascinating although a bit Spooky and gruesome. I'm so glad I actually brought the whole collection as I could easily read them all.

Wuthering Heights is a tragic classic tale of love and anger and pain, as well as the big family fallout's that come with it. The two main characters in this book set about an exposition that rocks two households of strong Yorkshire and leaves them in turmoil. Catherine and Heathcliff are two of the most selfish chars I've ever read about and left me with a sense of dislike.

The total emotional magnitude of this book is great and far reaching. Set in the moors of Yorkshire. If you have ever been to the moors you will know it can be a dark and lonely place. Some were that ghosts can dwell and in this book do. This wasn't a light read, it was a very deep reading All in all I think it is a literature classic that everybody should read once in their life

I reread this over the weekend. I was sick and it was sitting right beside the bed. This really is a cute story.

A haunting book at best.

I have to admit that this is my second reading of this book and I was much more wrapped up in the story this time than the first time I read it.

I'm not sure why.  Either I had my mind on other things which made it hard to get into the story, or the story was so subconsciously disturbing that I could not wrap my head around what it was about.  The first time I read it, I kept trying to figure out the "world" that these children were living in. What were they talking about when they used the word, "completion?"  I couldn't quite digest the fact of what they were for because I was wrapped in who they were and following along in their emotional adventure of their lives.

I originally expected a somewhat typical dystopian story with a literary twist, but "Never Let Me Go" is much more deeper and intense.  Kazuo Ishiguro took a very personal and emotional approach to telling his story.  It's written in first person and the narrator's (Kathy) voice actually changes as she grows up.  The writing perspective caters to how they are discovering their own emotions and vague to the harshness and the details of their short lives.

"Never Let Me Go" is the coming of age story of a group of clones who were created for the purpose of donating their organs and their lives to science.  What sets this book apart is the haunting perspective of how these clones come to the understanding of who they are and their purpose for existence.  I think this is what makes this book so emotionally charged.

While living in what could be construed as a modern day boarding school, these clones go through the confusion and questions that all teenagers go through, but their real purpose in life clouds any real understanding of the world around them. 

Their desire to be known is an impossible one in a world that sees them as disposable body parts.  Honestly so many analogies could start here regarding young people today that the list would go on and on in great length.

Do clones have souls?  Can they love?  I suppose that is something we will all eventually find out as science marches onward to the time when human clones will be created.
