How many times must they get it wrong before they succeed in getting things right? Georgie and Jordan are a charming contradiction of adorably, clueless and heartachingly real. Sandor continues to use her wicked, comedic timing and her ability to converse with the heart to create magic. Real issues reside within hard to resist romance and unforgettable characters.

Sandor has a gift for speaking to the most vulnerable part of a person. Whether with laughter or deep emotion, her stories take aim at involving readers heartfirst before appealing to anything else. Georgie is a character that sets out to make you laugh to cover up the insecurities that hide underneath her smile. Jordan uses realism to shield his own inner feelings of doubt. Own the Eights is more than just a light-hearted romp for laughs. It's a deeply moving pathway of finding truth and living life at it's best. Humor that tackles real emotion is great storytelling.

Mizera gives emotions quite a workout. Sandor doesn't make liking him easy. He's a heartbreaker who knows how to live in the shadows, but is forced to step into the light. Drama follows him. Love evades him and temptation lures him. Can his heart's desire give him shelter from the danger that is coming their way? Mizera turns love into an adventure of the heart that will steal away with your heart. Nobody does romance like Kat Mizera. (4.5 stars)
