The Danger of Desire
The Danger of Desire (The Sinful Suitors Book 3) - Sabrina Jeffries

My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts...

The Danger of Desire is book 3 of Sabrina Jeffries’s Sinful Suitors series. Can’t say I was too impressed with this one. This series, as a whole, has been a downer for me, both story and character-wise. But I am giving it a try, hoping that things will improve. *sigh*

I wasn’t surprised to find that The Sinful Suitors is connected to The Duke’s Men. Most of SJ’s series are interlinked thru characters; secondary characters of one series having their own books in a new one. I don’t think you must read The Duke’s Men to enjoy Sinful Suitors, however, the characters have links to the previous series so things may make more sense if you have already read the former.

The first book of the series, The Art of Sinning, is the story of a character appeared shortly in The Duke’s Men series; an American artist named Jeremy Keane. He was the cousin of one of the central characters there. I never thought him important enough to have his own book so this was a surprise! The heroine, Yvette, was never introduced before. Keane was running from a sad secret of his past eschewing his own responsibilities back in America, and his artistic whimsies gave him the perfect escape route to do so. He travelled extensively for the sake of his vocation and their vast family run empire is now managed by his elder sister Amanda. When Keane arrived in England, he was set to have a title from one of his English relatives as the next living male heir. However, due to some twists and turns and Keane’s own disinclination to take on added responsibilities makes him decline this in the end.

Great Story and Characters
The Danger of Desire (The Sinful Suitors) - Sabrina Jeffries Miss Delia Trevor is determined to find out who’s to blame for her brother’s death at all costs. Warren Corry, the Marquess of Knightford, lives the life of a rogue and is happy that way. When his cousin asks him to keep an eye on her friend Delia, who seems to be hiding something, he likes the change of pace. He has no idea that that this one woman is about to change his life. As with all of this author’s books, I loved this book. The author does a great job of unraveling Warren and making Delia the right person to save him. Delia is a great heroine. She refuses to rely on any man in a time when women had no choice. I highly recommend. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book

From the outsider looking in, Warren Corry, the Marquess of Knightford, might look like a rakehell who spends his nights gambling and whoring in London. Most people don't know about his dark secret that would explain why he does the things that he does. When Warren's cousin Clarissa is concerned that her friend Miss Delia Trevor is acting weird, she asks him to see if he find can find a reason for her actions. What Warren didn't expect was to be intrigued by this lady. Delia does not act like a typical Lady...she is way more inappropriate and he really likes it! As Warren and Delia play a cat and mouse game, Warren uncovers what Delia is really up to and has a really fun time teasing her along the way.

Delia inappropriateness is keeping Warren's attention and soon he wants to be with her all the time. After a certain incident, Warren is pushed into marrying Delia and the real fun begins! Just as things are looking up for our newlyweds, old secrets come crashing down all around them. Together they work through theirs issues and come out stronger in the end.

I just adored the character of Delia. She was a really sassy and smart lady. She knew what she wanted and she just went after it. Warren acts like a typical first born....always wanting to take care of everyone and make sure their lives are good, except he doesn't use that same philosophy on his own life....at least until Delia comes into the picture.

I loved the climax ending of the secrets....never saw that one coming! And the happy ending was just perfect! The phrase "boxing the Jesuit" was too funny! :) Overall a great story with wonderful characters. You cannot go wrong with a Sabrina Jeffries book!

The Danger of Desire (The Sinful Suitors) - Sabrina Jeffries

Sabrina Jeffries knows how to spin a tale with strong characters and an emotionally charged plot. This one was so enjoyable to read and the series has blossomed into yet another deliciously successful endeavor for Sabrina Jeffries. Warren is a scarred man with a notorious reputation. Delia is a strong and very independent woman who has her own views that she isn't afraid to share. When Warren discovers her sneaking off in the dead of night to gamble in the Stews of London he follows in order to scare some sense into her. What he comes to discover is a "boy" who is very adept at playing cards and when he realizes this "boy" is actually Delia, he is furious that she would risk herself. Well, she doesn't take his strong-minded views of what she should or shouldn't be doing and she progresses to enlighten Warren as well as snag his passionate and undivided attention. I enjoyed their ride to the alter and her not giving up in showing him that his idea of marriage was one she refused to accept. I look forward to Brilliana and Niell's story next. It looks like it could be quite explosive!

Sinful Desire (Sinful Nights Book 2) - Lauren Blakely

This is the second book in the Sinful Nights series.  I LOVED this book!  This story was about Ryan Sloan, Shannon Sloan's sister.  After the craziness of his past family life, Ryan craves control in his life.  Imagine his surprise when he sees this gorgeous blond outside of the police department, on his way to meet the detective working on his father's murder case.  Ryan is completely captivated and just has to meet his fantasy girl.  Sophie Winston was the geeky quiet girl who became a huge success and then she sold off her business.  Now Sophie spends her time being a philanthropist but she craves letting go of her control.

These two each possessed something the other desperately wanted.  The sexual chemistry between these two was off the charts!  I loved how Ryan brought out such emotions from Sophie and how she brought out a softer side of Ryan.

I really enjoyed the continuation of the mystery behind Ryan's dad's murder.  It was great having the detective the case turn out to be Sophie's brother!

I just adored this story and these two characters.  Their happy ever after was perfect for the two of them!  I loved Sophie's addiction to the fruity dresses!  Too cute!  Overall, another great story and I can't wait to see how this mystery is going to end!
