Searching for Sylvie Lee
Searching for Sylvie Lee - Jean Kwok,Caroline McLaughlin,Angela Lin,Samantha Quan

Sylvie Lee spent the first nine years of her life in the Netherlands, with Helena (a distant cousin of Sylvie's mother), Willem (Helena's husband), Lukas (Helena and Willem's son), and Sylvie's maternal grandmother. Sylvie's parents had migrated from China to Queens, New York and struggled to establish themselves. When Sylvie was brought back to New York, she had a two-year-old sister Amy.

Sylvie travels back to the Netherlands upon learning that her grandmother is terminally ill. And while she is there, Sylvie disappears.

Amy, who has always lived in the shadow of her accomplished older sister, follows after Sylvie, determined to discover what has happened to her. She soon becomes enmeshed in confusing family entanglements and long-held secrets.

The book had its share of red herrings, and I did not predict the resolution that ultimately emerged.

I appreciated the complexity of the family relationships, including some tragic mutual misunderstandings.

Conflict of Interest, Aime Austin
Conflict of Interest (A Casey Cort Novel Book 4) - Aime Austin,Sylvie Fox

This was an intense murder or not story. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. Seen from the older officer and a short video clip from a security tape. This also has a lot of race questions in this. This also questions a lot of how this victim was treated after his arrest and the slow process of his not being charged after all, that all lead to his death. The ending was a surprise. The lawyer was fairly young and little experience in this type of criminal law and having some race issues in her personal life. So start reading this and let the games begin. I've given this a 4.5* rating.

Audio Review: The Game (The Carolina Connections #4) by Sylvie Stewart (Author), Kelsey Navarro (Narrator)
The Game (The Carolina Connections #4) - Sylvie Stewart

When life throws a curveball, count on love to make a way through. Stewart is good at cracking the heart open and finding the smile hiding inside. The Game is a life lesson wrapped up in a romantic comedy. Gavin and Emerson turn tears into laughter with sassy dialogue, steamy attraction and a bit of common sense. Navarro gives her brand to an already sweet bundle of emotion. Through her delivery, she gives hearts something to relate to and fall in love with all over again.

An honest-to-goodness strong silent type with lots of steam
Game Changer - Sylvie Stewart

I took me a bit to get into this story, but the steam that began to rise between Poppy and Mac kept me turning the pages. I loved Mac's strong, silent personality and how Poppy's more open innocence worked with that. With a couple hitches in the process, as well as past histories, these two deserved the HEA together.

I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

The Elusive Lucio... (Book Order Mix-Up)
The Weeping Woman on the Streets of Prague - Emma (Ed.)/ Landry Judith (Translator) Wilson,Judith Landry,Sylvie Germain,Emma Wilson
Lucio's Confession - Mário de Sá-Carneiro

It seems that Lucio's Confession is a rather elusive book. I had ordered it through Ammy from a 3rd party seller when I first heard about a couple of weeks ago.

A day later I received a message that the order was cancelled by the 3rd party seller.

So, I ordered it again from another seller.
A few minutes ago, I received the package...but they shipped the wrong book. :(

Does the book exist? Are the sellers trying to tell me something by not letting me get hold of a copy?

And what are they trying to tell me by instead sending The Weeping Woman on the Streets of Prague (by Sylvie Germain)???

In all seriousness, I'm still determined to get my mitts on Lucio's Confession. And the Germain book actually looks interesting - it is also very short.
