Little Kid Reads Are Fun
The Mouse and the Motorcycle - Tracy Dockray,Louis Darling,Beverly Cleary
Stuart Little - E.B. White,Garth Williams
Justin Morgan Had a Horse - Marguerite Henry,Wesley Dennis
Guardians of Ga'Hoole #2: The Journey - Kathryn Lasky
Wings of Fire Book Five: The Brightest Night - Tui T. Sutherland
Trials of Apollo, The Book One The Hidde... Trials of Apollo, The Book One The Hidden Oracle - Rick Riordan

Sometimes you just need to go back and enjoy so old classics you never got a chance to read as a child. I have been buying a bunch so my son can read them, and I figure well, why not? I have most all of the Guardians of Ga'HooleWarriors and several other children's classics like Charlotte's Web and King of the Wind. I loved those when I was younger. I think I will try to read a bunch of these over the next few weeks to help me with my slump and brighten my day. School let out so....yeah. I'm mom 24/7 until late August, and the hubs is leaving for a trip soon. I can use some cheering up. I love summer, and I dread summer. We are frenemies.

For Starters
Trials of Apollo, The Book One The Hidde... Trials of Apollo, The Book One The Hidden Oracle - Rick Riordan

Hey! I am Zander. For starters you should know a little about me before i start blogging.  have a dog and two cats, and I love sports! Anyways, lets get to my new favorite book The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan. I find a great interest in Greek Mythology. his book is about the god Apollo. He was thrown off of Mt. Olympus because he apparently started a war. Apollo does not think so though. He was mortal and he was scared and confused.

Apollo gets jumped and a little girl named Meg goes and helps Apollo. Apollo is lost and confused and is losing his godly memories quick! He needs to get to camp halfblood.

The Trials of Apollo
The Trials of Apollo, Book One: The Hidden Oracle - Rick Riordan

I think that The Trials of Apollo was a very surprising book. This book was surprising because I never expected Meg to leave Apollo and side with Nero after she had just saved the Grove of Dodona. I was also shocked by the group of Roman emperors, or Trimunitive, that were discovered to have survived centuries by attaining tribute from their followers and by providing support to those opposing Camp Half-Blood. One last part of the book that I was surprised by was when Leo Valdez returned to Camp Half-Blood and turned out to be apart of the new prophecy that Apollo had received from the Grove of Dodona.  And for these reasons I stand to believe that The Trials of Apollo was surprising.

Favorite book(s) of the month: Sidelined, Out of Play, Ein ganzes halbes Jahr, Divined (duh)

Books started this month but haven't finished yet: Stopping the Noise in Your Head (it's just not a book that I want to read constantly), The 100, True Born

7 BOOKS!!! I'm actually really happy with that. I'm also really proud of myself for finally kicking myself to let go of Scintillate. Even though my laptop helped me. It just vanished from my epub reader and I wasn't going to download it again. So yeah. I can't take all the credit. It's not that the book is bad, the writing is really good, I just couldn't stand the characters and the way the story was going.

Divined!!!
Divined (The Last Oracle Book 3) - Emily Wibberley

Thanks so much to Emily for sending this my way and letting me read it.
The book came out yesterday and I can't urge you enough to check out this book series. All three books are out now and they are amazing. Especially if you are new to ya fantasy, this series is an amazing start.

It's not humanly possible to actually explain how much I love these books, the characters, the story and the writing. It's not possible.

I won't go into much detail about this book, cause it's the third and last book in the series and I don't wont to give anything away.

It's been a while since I have read the second book in the series but it didn't take me long to get back into the story and back into the world of Oracles and Deitys. The writing was amazing as always. Especially the fighting scenes, I love how Emily writes them and makes me visualize exactly what's going on.

We see many side characters from the first two books again. I just love Ashira and Ixie. I loved having Tirza being in this book again. And Zarae, she is one of those characters that I should hate. Ahhh, she makes so many questionable things but I just love her. I can't help myself. Derick, for me he is always just there. I don't love him, I don't hate him. He's just there.

And we got a few new characters that I absolutely loved. Ealis, I loved him the moment he showed up (and was hoping very much that he wouldn't betray my trust). There was just something about him that I really liked and he grew on me more and more throughout the book. Also Atzi, I was ready to hate her the moment she appeared cause I didn't trust her at all. And I was so worried she would come between Ixie and Clio/Ashira. But then she actually helped Clio and she just really grew on me to the point were I was very nervous that something could happen to her.

Storywise, I won't say anything about this. I loved it. It was actionpacked and amazing. So many things very happening. It didn't feel rushed but there was also never a dull moment. So for me it was perfect.

The ending. I won't spoil it. BUT I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!! Especially the end end. You know. The very end. The last few pages. THAT END, was especially beautiful to me.

I can't wait to reread the whole series again, that's how much I love everything about this series.
