It’s an ok novel and I breezed through it quickly enough. It’s certainly a harmless, fluffy book. But I’m not particularly feeling the need to pick up the next one. It’s a 2.5 star book for sure, enjoyable but only if you don’t think about it.

3.5 stars. A linear story built around the theme of interracial marriage, with nice characters and a nightmarish mother-in-law. It's indie fantasy (yes, forget about the cover right now), with romance, great culinary twists and balance. The tale flows smoothly and it was exactly the light read I needed today.
surprisingly charming romance. felt like all the plot happened in the last 20 min, but very charming.
