Audiobook Review: Wickingham Way by S. R. Grey (Author), Kelley Ernst (Narrator)
Wickingham Way (A Harbour Falls Mystery #3) - S.R. Grey

There's nothing quite like scaring yourself silly right before you close your eyes. Grey has a talent for sending chills up your spine with a few well placed words. Wickingham Way is driven by curiosity. Maddy draws you in with her inquisitive nature. Her knack for landing herself in trouble is legendary. Ernst captures that intriguing combination of brains and naivety that drives this character.

Rock Rebel (Nothing But Trouble #3) by Tara Leigh
Rock Rebel - Tara Leigh Cobble

There is beauty in anonymity and heartache in recognition. In other words just because someone knows you by name, doesn't mean they understand your private struggles. Rock Rebel reminds me of an old movie entitled, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." It told the tale of a deaf man who had a heart full of love. He showered his love on the people around him, but lost himself along the way. The best of intentions ended in tragedy. Dax and Verity use music to tamp down the pain, they hide inside. Neither is aware of the gift they share with the world. That is until they experience it through the eyes of each other. Can their spiritual awakening save them from the darkness that haunts their hearts? Tara Leigh takes readers on a journey into the looking glass to see how the other half lives. Rock Rebel begins as a heartbreaking solo, but ends as an inspiring duet.

White Dog (Bourbonland Short Stories and Novellas #6) by Jennifer Bramseth
White Dog - Jennifer Bramseth

Bramseth is an author's author. She loves a good story, no matter what genre it encompasses. I can totally relate. White Dog is a tale about life at it's most heartbreaking. Love at it's most chaotic and hope on the cusp of despair. Clay is coping with an uncertain future and Coraleigh is dealing with a new kind of normal. Along the way, we encounter old friends, new friends and a hint of something more. This rainy day read packs a lot of living in a small bundle.

Is their love strong enough to weather the storm clouds that are closing in? Murphy dares to explore love at it's most flawed. Damaged Hearts sorts through the ugliest of baggage to create something beautifully reborn.
