32 pages of comics and illustrations personally handpicked by creator Douglas Arthur from the archives of his acclaimed comic strip Tales From The Dougside. This sampler is being published in conjunction with a larger compendium book entitled, Antisocial Lawnmower. Both book are making their debut at FantaCon 2013 on September 14th and 15th in Albany, NY. Tales From the Dougside was first published in the pages of Generation Magazine on the University Of Buffalo campus in February 1988 and later moved to Nightlife Magazine in 1992 where it enjoyed a 6 1/2 year run. Between 1995 and 1997 4 book collections of the strips were produced and sold in local Buffalo comic shops and conventions. In 2001, the books were chosen to be part of an exhibit on underground publishing in Buffalo by the curator of the prestigious Poetry And Rare Books Collection at the University Of Buffalo. Horrible Book Of Horrors marks the first book collection published since 1997 and features a greatest hits subset of Tales From the Dougside strips featuring a horror theme. Nothing escapes Mr. Arthur's keen wit, from Stephen King, to the Leprechaun films, to Godzilla, and even a real life account of a tumor surgery. Included are never before published artworks, sketches, and a brand new painted reverse wraparound cover.
