Tammy Fitzherbert In a word, if I had to describe myself it would be: BLESSED. I enjoyed a career in advertising for a combined 15 years with agencies, radio stations and newspapers and loved what I did. But now I love what I do. I thought I knew what hard work was until I decided to give up my career and become a stay-at-home mom. In 2003, after having my first child, I realized what real work was. Though I've been a writer since I could spell, I started freelancing for extra income (and the occasional short-lived escape from reality) about 7 years ago. I've written several books under my name, as well as ghost-writing under a pen name. My biggest hits are with the Peyton Penguin series for school-aged children. They continue to be #1 on the kindle list for early readers and Animal stories. I write books that are targeted to appeal to 1st through 4th graders, and have catchy rhyming sequences that children love to memorize. Illustrations are very important to children. I strive to incorporate fun, cute pictures into my rhyming stories. The now updated Peyton Penguin Series utilizes the skills and fanciful creations of Richie Williams.I'm sure you'll love Williams as much as I do.Peyton Penguin Prefers Peas and Peyton Penguins Pajama Party were written because my daughter Peyton loves Penguins. She constantly gives me ideas for new material and you'll be seeing more books arriving to Kindle soon. Kendall Macaw Loves Her Ma has repeatedly been well received on Kindle's Best Seller lists for school aged children. Hitting #1 and #2 respectively. Both books are great for reading and inspirational. Parents can feel confident that a positive message is being read in all my books. Another great book for parents is called "Kids, Summer and a Shoestring Budget" and it's been on the Kindle Best seller list for parenting. The juxtaposition of humor with real-life encounters are what I typically employ in my writing. By creating meaningful books and stories, I hope to enlighten, encourage, and entertain my readers. Humor and sarcasm come quite naturally for me. (My husband says that's not always a gift!) I'll let you be the judge. Many of my kindle books are also available in paperback.I hope that I have something to offer you that will make you come back for more. Thank you for taking time to get to know me. Shoot me an email. I'd love to hear from you! Or check out my blog:http://mommystress.blogspot.com/
