Tarabud was born in Chicago, Illinois to Colombian immigrants. As a child, she lived with her maternal family in Colombia, and grew up enfolded in the richness of Latin American culture. Transplanting to Southern California with her mother, she developed a bi-cultural identity that still inspires her creative work. She developed her love of story at California State University of Long Beach where she completed a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. Upon her marriage, she relocated to San Francisco Bay Area, where she currently resides. In the Bay Area she completed a Master's Degree in Transpersonal/Somatic Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Tarabud remains active in the Bay Area arts scene, creating jewelry, collages art, singing in her indie band Sentinel, and writing novels from her desk overlooking her hummingbird feeder in her home in Oakland, California. She self-published three works now available in the Amazon book store: La Botanica, La Semilla, and In Moments Like This. Currently, she is writing a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel.
