For me, it didn't hold a candle to Spirit Sanguine. I started and stopped this book several times. Not enough Harvey and Gabe time, and too much telling and not showing. I'm a big Lou Harper fan but I won't be recommendinging this follow-up to Spirit, a story I've recommended over and over.
