by Megan Hart
3 STARS"Love is some messed up shit."So are my feelings towards this book.Tempted by Megan Hart had some really good moments and it was sensual and intensely erotic but it left me with too many conflicting emotions to give it a higher rating.I liked the unconventional theme and the first half was en...
Tempted both was and wasn't what I expected. Obviously, if you've seen the alternate cover or read the synopsis, you kind of know what this is about. A married couple have the husband's friend stay over the summer and shenanigans ensue. Ah, here is where the plot thickens! Anne, the wife, tries to p...
I'm torn about how to rate this - maybe 2 - 2.5 starsThis is a review of the audio book version which I listened to in order to combat some sleepless nights. The narrator was OK, however whenever she did Alex's voice she did sound very creepy. I'm not sure if this was intentional or maybe Alex reall...
Looking for a happily ever after? A sweet romance? A fun three-some romp that helps strengthen a marriage? (Umm, I had to throw this in because you do realize that this book centers around a threesome -- hint, take a look at the cover). Well, Tempted is not any of those things. Tempted is my fir...
Initial reaction: I'm torn. On one hand, Megan Hart's "Tempted" was well written, engaged me from beginning to end, and I thought the story was well paced for the respective conflicts and thematics within. On the other hand, the characters frustrated the heck out of me in spurts. I'm not sure whi...
Megan Hart continues to blow me away with her combination of characterization and chemistry. Certainly the best menage book I've ever read, her characters don't skim through life without consequences. Good and bad, but always passionate, Alex and Jamie and Anne are flawed but charismatic. I felt ...
I low balled this book because it had too much story, was way too slow paced, and the sex was very "loving". So if you're looking for a story with depth, good writing, and tenderness at it's core this is probably for you. She is a good writer, it's just not the package I was looking for.
You never really know what to expect with novels by Megan Hart. Her storytelling sucks you in but the outcome at times will just leave you questioning if that was the way it should have ended. Despite all that, I will read more from this author. Especially now,I need to find out what happens to Alex...
I sure got wrapped up in this erotic story. All kinds of family dynamics and baggage explored. A bit surprised by the ending and wanting more. Anne and James had the perfect marriage until his best friend Alex shows up.
