Tere Stouffer wrote her first book after a fellow editor asked her to co-author a book on indoor grilling. Suddenly, she was known as a food writer. Along came an offer to write books about budgeting and car-buying, and Tere was known as a personal finance author. Then, drawing on decades as a competitive distance runner, Tere wrote several books on running and fitness. Then came travel books. And a book on piano. To date, Tere has authored and co-authored 20 books on a wide range of topics, and she has loved every minute of it.But Tere has one great passion among a number of smaller ones, and that's books for kids. Her blog (Kid's Writing Workshop) provides ideas, tips, and inspiration for anyone who wants to write for children. She makes author visits to middle schools to teach writing workshops.
