The author of fifteen romance novels for Harlequin Books, and two novellas for Boroughs Publishing Group, Teresa Carpenter's books have rated Top Picks by Romantic Times and have been nominated for Best Romance of the Year by a couple of review sites. Teresa lives in Southern California surrounded by her large family. If she's not at a family event, you'll usually find her at home reading or writing her next grand romance. Dear Reader,Are you loving the new glitz and glamor aspect to Romance as much as I am? I've been to Europe and Hollywood, and in A Pregnancy, A Party And A Proposal I'm jetting off to New York. This trip is part personal experience part research. I have been to the Big Apple and stayed in a hotel on Time Square. There's no place else like it on earth. And it's exactly as manic as it seems on TV and in the movies. The research came in for the Statue of Liberty. I've been to the island but never up to the crown. The first time I saw the iconic statue it was covered in scaffling while being restored. The second time was after 9/11 and the tour to the crown was closed. Armed security guards even chased people off the grassy area surrounding the statue. I didn't get to the crown but I must say it was a memorable visit. In A Pregnancy, A Party And A Proposal the trip to New York is an exciting first for my heroine Lauren Randall but a painful return home for my hero Ray Donovan. If this is your first trip to New York, I hope I do it justice.Enjoy the glitz!Happy reading,Teresa Carpenter

What I Liked: A very smart, sharp and witty female lead who doesn't back down even though she has to deal with the shenanigans caused by famous athletes that she has to do PR for.A very interesting male lead who isn't your typical famous athlete who does have a brain for things other than sports. Al...

My Rating: 3.5 I don't usually read adult books, especially adult romance books, but once I saw the blurb and skimmed a few pages at the ending, I just had to read this book. Sparks Fly with Mr. Mayor was enjoyable and unique for the most part, and too short to be draggy. (Don't take my word on the ...
