A USA Today Bestselling Author and three-time Rita Finalist, she feels grateful and lucky to spend her life writing books. She adored the Boxcar Children and Island of the Blue Dolphin. Little Women was glorious, but she never accepted that Jo and Laurie didn't end up together. The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton shocked her by being not only a great stories, but also being written by someone in her teens! Prior to that, she'd been sure writers were old, gray and impossibly wise, living in castle-like splendor and seclusion, as befitted such extraordinary creatures. Now, she lives in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with a very understanding husband, two children, three dogs and one, loud cats. (So, basically, not old, not gray, hopefully a bit wise, no castle, splendid mountain views and very little seclusion, but still happy.)

I have never read a novel by Teresa Hill before and found her first book in "The McRae Series" to be an okay/good read. I tend to like Christmas themed novels in general (they tend to put me in a Christmas mood) and thought this one was better than most I have read in the past few years. I still had...

I was completely absorbed in this, yet the entire time I was reading, feared it would end with me wanting to kick the author in the pants. She managed to pull it out of the fire... just barely. I do not like fictional miraculous infertility cures, especially when they come in the form of three angel...

nice, nice, nice....unvarying nice-ness!I found this book to be a nice read, and the reason it was so nice was the reason it took me a while to finish. I just didn't see it changing and the level of connection between Grace and Aidan stayed more or less the same throughout the book, they started get...
