Terry K. Amthor has been writing fantasy and science fiction for many years, primarily for the role-playing genre, when he was fortunate enough to become a co-founder of Iron Crown Enterprises—a pioneer company in the SF and Fantasy game industry—right out of college. He has authored or co-authored dozens of books and rpg supplements, including the Rolemaster and Space Master systems, and the acclaimed Middle-earth gamebook Spy in Isengard.He created the Shadow World as a role-playing setting, including short fiction vignettes in the game supplements to add flavor. Soon, fans were increasingly curious about the backstories of the characters in the Shadow World, asking for more information. With all of its interesting inhabitants and history, Mr. Amthor realized that Shadow World might make the perfect backdrop for a work of pure fiction as well.While retired from teaching Spin classes, and his crazy youth of skydiving and motorcycles, Terry still loves to travel, and feels grateful that he could see such beautiful places as Olympia in Greece, many Maya sites in Central America, and the land of his ancestors in the UK. Terry is currently living in Arlington, VA; but considers Charlottesville, location of his beloved University of Virginia, to be his home.
